A very interesting and informative tour. It was made even better by Eric's excellent local knowledge and graphic descriptions of the vaults history which made for an unforgettable experience.

Writing this 6 hours after our tour ended and I’m still full! We started with blueberry and honey porridge, had (one of the best) almond paste croissant with a hot beverage (I had the Earl Grey Hot Chocolate but you can choose what you want to drink), a whiskey pairing with haggis (I had the veggie haggis) from The Scotch Malt Whiskey Society, and then topped it off at Whighams Wine Cellar where we had Cullen Skink (Amazing!) and Sticky Toffee Pudding (super sweet but double amazing!).

Besides the food we really enjoyed the walk to the various food establishments and all the history we got of the city along the way. Russell was a fabulous guide 😀

Meeting point on Grassmarket was very convenient.

We very much enjoyed the castle and cathedral and riding the bus around town. It was a bit cold. Might be better to visit in May -August.

Fantastic tour with Dave as a guide: the historical sites, scenery, and recommendations were spot on. Excellent three days of travel on a comfortable bus with two nights nearby accommodations on Skye. Highly recommend.

Wallace was our tour guide and did a great job with information, music and local stories. It was a good mix of places to see, plenty of time for toilets, snacks, coffee/tea, etc. Highly recommend!

Our group was composed of German, French, Greek, Spanish and British people and this review is based on comments made in different languages. From David, we learnt the Scots word dreich which was very appropriate for a wet and misty Edinburgh day lit up by a fascinating and detailed insight into the city’s history and architecture. David’s tour was delivered with passion and humour and was a thoroughly informative and entertaining introduction to the city. We particularly appreciated learning about Scotland’s strong historical connection with the rest of Europe and its contribution to the enlightenment.
    Highly recommended.

Amazing places! The guides, David and Adam, were very kind and prepared. Even though it was a rainy day, we really enjoyed it and we made extra stops to take pictures and have whiskey ice cream (100% recommended).

Guide was great and very informative with great knowledge. We did think we would be taken into buildings within the castle, but it was purely an outdoor tour

A beautiful and mellow day trip from Edinburgh with our guide/driver Leo. The castle was definitely the highlight of the day- wonderful view, a 50 min tour of the castle that acts as an overview so you can explore the areas of your interest further on your own. I enjoyed the history and myths Leo shared with us while being an excellent driver as well.
