These tours are very informative and helpful in seeing most of what is important to see in every city, including Edinburgh
It’s very easy to find this as all tours start right at Waverley Bridge off Prince St. Start with the green line because that includes a guided tour.

For a specific tour of a specific part of Edinburgh's history, it touches on a lot of the rest of what life was like in Edinburgh in the 17th and 18th centuries, so it can easily replace other tours!
We heard an underground tour would be a good thing to do in the city, so we looked through the recommendations and stumbled upon Mercat Tours.

Expect a crowd at the morning tour check-in, as Rabbie's has multiple tours departing at about the same time at the same location, but once sorted into your own tour and on the mini-bus, it's smooth sailing.
I heartily recommend this tour, and most especially Rabbie's for all their tours around Scotland.
