Beautiful "easy to walk" coastal path with lovely sea and countryside views - would highly recommend!

Beautiful sandy beach which is great for a long walk with or without the dogs. Access to the beach is not great but we’ll worth the effort

Speeding in the boat is so much fun! But seeing the birds from so close up is even more stunning! Gannets, cormorans drying their wings and the clowning puffins are a joy to watch.

This is not a review of the golf club ( couldn’t play golf to save my life) , but of this still beautiful architectural building that’s been abandoned to rack and ruin - such a crying shame!
We were out for a ramble in the countryside, and came across this beauty and went to investigate further. Upon googling info , found it was a work conceived by that astounding Aberdeen-born architect Archibald Simpson, who amongst many other fabulous buildings designed Aberdeen’ s Marischal College, The Triple Kirks, and St. Andrew’s Cathedral. The Grange was built between 1827 & 1830, and even in it’s present state of disrepair is awe-inspiring.
It was run as a hotel until 2011, until the foreign owner ran into financial difficulties, and there were ongoing complex legal problems involved. I believe there are presently plans afoot for major redevelopment on the estate, and sincerely hope this architectural gem is saved for posterity, and not razed to the ground.

Dave took us out on a sunny Monday morning. We enjoyed 4hrs of fishing across several locations but unfortunately we didn’t catch anything...but that can happen as we all know! This didn’t detract from an amazing day out and we would recommend Arbroath Angling as the service from Dave was outstanding. Thank you from 2 burnt Geordies!
