Stays fresh for re-visits. When the sun is shining a visit makes for a great day out, usually you stumble across something that you haven't seen before. Apart from the old buildings here, include the "Castle" and grounds as well as the exhibit galleries in the entry building.
And there's the Vulcan. Used to drink in there 40 years ago so please finish it soon and get the beer flowing again, it served a cracking Dark and SA. Makes you feel old though when a favoured boozer is an exhibit. But, as a Cardiff lad it's pleasing to see that it still exists.
There are quite a few picnic tables dotted around so usually find one or there is a restaurant, a chippy and a cafe on site.
