Free entry, loads of great exhibits. We went to see the fossils, of which there were lots. It’s such a beautiful building as well. Lovely couple of hours looking around.

If you love a traditional market, you’ll love wandering around here. Great produce, (meat, fish, fruit and veg, cheese, baked goods), with friendly stall holders and places to eat. Make sure to buy some delicious Welsh cakes from the Welsh Bakestones stall.

Dating back to the 1880s. This is a nice elegant shopping arcade to walk through.

It has some unusual shops, not necessarily ones where you will take out your wallet.

I noticed the bars and restaurants were popular.

Cardiff has a number of arcades in the city center and this is another very attractive. Victorian or Georgian and great style with some interesting shops. Graet to take cover or criss cross across the city centre

We had a look around this large antique centre in the centre of Cardiff. Many wierd and wonderful items for sale. Great place to treasure hunt.

Cardiff has a number of arcades in the city center and this is another very attractive. Victorian or Georgian and great style with some interesting shops. This for me is the most attractive. Probably why it gets the royal title

I found this place to be really good. Yes it is a bit rough and ready, but then again, it is a flea market, what do you expect? If you like a groomed sales assistant calling you Sir, then there are other antique markets you should visit and pay the premium for being treated like in the Harry Enfield's sketch... The reason i love this place is that every time i visit, i see, and often wish i had bought, even if i have no room for it, so many stunning gems: a french cast iron farm stove, g-plan sideboard (was at the time the fraction of today's prices, and that was only 2-3 years ago!), an outdoor walking stick (maybe circa 1940s) thingy that convert into a seat - genus design and so quirky. Also i have recently had my 60's turntable/LP player serviced there by a chap called Mark - I mean, where else would you find someone who knows everything there is to know about 60's Pye model? So please, this is not a car boot or a brick a brack. People there know how to and do restore furniture and other stuff - they are experts. I found the seller, on the whole, knowledgeable and happy to talk, as well as happy to let you browse. If you genuinely want to find some little gems, that's your place.

This is a rather ordinary shopping mall.
The mall is located in the center of town and is pretty convenient, albeit it is somehow boring.

An excellent gallery space showing established and emerging artists. Very friendly staff and regular courses being run from artist studio spaces.
I have bought a number of artworks over the years through the Arts Council of Wales collector plan which makes buying on interest free credit easy and affordable.

Opposite Cardiff castle this arcade dates back to 1902, and is home to a small number of impressive cafes and independent retailers.

We went here to attend a preview of a particular artists work which was well laid out in a light airy room. The e hi Bitcoin was very good and the preview well attended. We also looked upstairs and downstairs at other artists work.
This is a well laid out spacious private gallery well worth the visit.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem in Cardiff, although the outside doesn't give much away, once inside we were amazed! A beautiful domed ceiling with two levels of quirky stalls. We bought some gifts and had a great cup of coffee. It's great to sometimes find places like this off the high street!

The Albany Gallery has to be an out of town hidden gem. It’s in Albany Road above Mama Lina’s restaurant and had been in the same location for over 50 years. There are changing exhibitions of mostly Welsh art along with ceramics and jewellery. The staff are friendly, non pretentious and very helpful. It’s certainly worth adding your name to their mailing list and you will receive emails with information of every exhibition - around 10 a year.
