We travelled down to Mermaid Quay by the Waterbus from Bute Park, close to the Castle. £7.00 pp each way, A lovely ride and the bay didn't disappointing, we were lucky to see it on a warm sunny day. Lots of lovely restaurants and walks.
We had a lovely time at the museum, staff were very friendly. The building is beautiful and the displays in the museum are great. We will definitely come back. We also liked that it’s free definitely a good idea with children.
We were very impressed with the new look to the ground floor. They have made a tremendous improvement to the seating and eating layout. They also have free Wi-Fi with good speed. We visited a few times in our week away in Cardiff Bay and enjoyed having coffee as we watched the world go by. We didn't see any shows on this visit to Cardiff Bay but next time we will.
We spent a pleasant morning here. It's was interesting to see around. We had some minor disruption to our visit as there was a wedding going on but the staff dealt with it perfectly so the disruption was minimal. I enjoyed the views from the top and enjoyed looking at the beautiful artwork etc.
This was an easy bus ride from Cardiff city center to Black Lion, then a quick walk to the cathedral. Stunning architecture inside and out. If you’re lucky the organist will be practicing and you can sit and enjoy the beautiful acoustics they have. It just felt very peaceful inside and I sat for a while and just took it all in. lovely little town as well.
