West Kennet Long Barrow

It's such a peaceful place, a little windswept in winter but tranquil and with incredible beautiful views all year round, especially when the wheat fields are golden brown.
You can poke around and explore the various chambers and then walk around the outside, if i had my time again I would have sorted some food to sit up by the barrow and enjoy the incredible view.

The place exudes a sense of history, and this was perfectly highlighted by the excellent guided tour that we went on where we learnt a massive wealth of historical information about the site.
This was a nice spot to stop - a good walk around the stones - lovely views of the stones and and interesting town to visit as well - well maintained pathways and a good parking area.

It was a beautiful sunny day and we spent some time at the top of the tour looking out at the college, the town and the wonderful view.
