Definitely worth the short climb. It is quite steep, but it's a good path with steps in places. The starting point is at the bottom of Wellhouse Lane near the Chalice Well and gardens. No parking around there so need to use town centre car parks and walk. Views at the top are superb all round but it's busy as lots of people make the trip up so not a place if you're looking for peace and quiet and solitude! This and the Abbey are the best of Glastonbury, the town itself is disappointing and strange.

There was much more to see of the ruins than I'd expected. Very impressive and it must have been a magnificent sight before it was destroyed by Henry VIII during the dissolution of the monasteries. There's a museum which explains the history and has many interesting artefacts. The grounds are extensive and it's a peaceful, calm place to relax away from the town.

Staff could have been more professional. While we were waiting for the guided tour, one member of staff was complaining to us that the tour leader was late, and that if she didn't turn up he'd have to show us round, which he clearly didn't want to do. The actual tour guide did arrive a few minutes later and took us to the main things to see. However her knowledge wasn't great and when someone asked why was the abbey was destroyed, she was vague and said it was because Henry VIII was a "bad man" and wanted to be a "god" and she didn't mention anything about him breaking from the Catholic church because he wanted a divorce and that it led to the establishment of the Church of England. She also talked about things as facts, e.g. how the tomb of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere was really discovered here, and that Joseph of Arimathea brought the Holy Grail to Glastonbury Abbey and that the Holy Thorn Tree sprouted from Joseph of Arimathea’s staff. It's all stuff of mingled myths and legends so should have been presented as that, but at least the information in the museum gave a more balanced view!

Had such an incredible time at Glastonbury 2023 that will be back this Summer and can't wait. We stayed at Inner Sanctum glampsite which was so magical. Brilliant food, the team are amazing, hot tubs and massages on site!

The hospitality and kindness they showed made our stay at Inner Sanctum wonderful. It's a shuttle bus or a medium walk away - which meant it was such a peaceful oasis!

Such a brilliant festival. We will be back again this summer and cannot wait! Bring it on.

The Mural Trail has done so much not only to brighten up and improve Glastonbury's visual landscape but also to bring the community together. There are some stunning artworks and it's a fantastic opportunity to discover bits of town I don't normally explore. I can thoroughly recommended to both locals and visitors and with over 70 murals it could easily take a day to visit them all.

What a magnificent Abbey this must have been in its heyday, the building is to say the least huge. Covering acres of ground a great place for the children to run off their excessive energy and for a picnic.

I got a necklace from here. It is beautiful and so lightweight to wear. Would definitely recommend. I exchanged the necklace for a longer length and Rachel was a pleasure to deal with. Very prompt service. Thank you!
