A good day out, interesting family experience into the past. Good adventure playground at the bottom of the town with outdoor and undercover picnic areas

    Wonderful experience to finally visit.
Years ago at school hearing of the industrial revolution and the engineers and effects of that world changing time.

A group of 10 museums; must be something for everyone! I loved the Jackfield tile museum most. SO many tiles; so varied and well supported with information, especially the last gallery. Inspirational

My wife and I wandered in and found ourselves in a treasure trove of gin and whisky. Endless choice of new, unusual and rare spirits, and an enthusiastic and knowledgeable host to help us navigate it all. Plenty of scope to try before you buy, too. We left with a bottle each and we'll be back for more!

A lovely space with some great exhibits - me and my toddler enjoyed ourselves.

Moving a train with one hand was a highlight!

It could do with a bit of investment. A few of the exhibits could do with a little TLC - especially the very grand water-cycle display. It's the centerpiece and it's showing it's age - a few quid spent returning it to its former glory would be well spent. (We were warned on entry that a few things were not working that day, so no complaints).

The sensory room for toddlers and babies was a nice touch - especially as under 5s go free (a nice touch, given there was quite a lot for the under 5s there), but it was a little sparse and could do with a few more light-up elements toys to fill the space. A cheap-ish ceiling star projector in the opposite corner to the bubble tube would make all the difference. A UV light and some glow in the dark toys would also work really well in there.

There's so much empty space in the main hall that a few more exhibits/features in general would certainly not go amiss, especially up the stairs, as the art exhibit that's there currently isn't of much interest to kids. Perhaps asking a local sixth form/university to get their engineering students to design a few more exhibits as a competition would be a good idea?

Either way - we enjoyed ourselves and will almost certainly be back. A good day out.

Such an interesting place with a compelling story from heyday to decline of an industry…. Personal stories of the workers and a glimpse into how the factory was left when it closed its doors is mesmerising….as well as being able to watch clay pipes being made! Fantastic.

We visited the museum we were already told that it only had a few exhibits there due to it being refurbished recently. We enjoyed the visit though & the back part of the museum was in the water, it had risen so high.

Worth a stop and look, lovely area behind to picnic. Pay and display machine was not working when we visited but worth checking. Spoke to some local people who recommended the pub at the top of the gardens but be aware plenty of steps involved.

Been here's quite a few times. Living up the road in Telford it's good to know that a craft beer place like this is fairly local. Will continue to come here :)

The walk gives you a feeling of the area before the new town of Telford existed and that's not long ago
