Kevin wore full Celtic dress which was a highlight and really enhanced the experience. Excellent local and historical knowledge and he made it much more enjoyable for two teenage sons in weather which veered from bright sunshine to howling gales, snow and torrential rain. I highly recommend this company. They even opened up a slot for us when they would normally be closed. We all better understand the full significance of Hadrian's Wall because of the care and effort Kevin put in

What a fun app! Me and my partner had a great time exploring Northumberland, didn't even know half of those places existed! Found some beautiful spots. The app was super easy to use and had lots of fun elements to it, that kept us entertained. Will definitely be using Cluecation for future trips!

Our thanks go to Kevin for a wonderful day exploring Hadrians Wall, Vindolanda and Housesteads forts.
Kevin was the perfect guide in that we travelled at our own pace, as well as checking that we were ok. His knowledge of the Romans and local tribes, not only gave us an in-site into the daily lives of the soldiers, he also included much information about the local tribes and ordinary people living in conjunction with the military.
The museum at Vindolanda was truely amazing. Artifacts are so well preserved, from handwritten letters to shoes that look like you would see in fashion shops today.
We can only recommend this tour by Kevin, wether you are only marginally interested in Roman history, or wishing to learn more of the ancestors of Northumbria.
    Again, many thanks Kevin.

The day tour was beyond excellent.  Not only did Alex bring Hadrian’s Wall to life (especially Housesteads and Vindolanda and the rest of the Wall we visited with him), but also his enthusiasm,  knowledge and readiness to discuss and debate it all in an open manner (not showing up our ignorance), while accommodating and helping disabled me where he could, was all second to none. Can't recommend him and his guidance highly enough.

It is quite a trek from the car park to the fort, but well worth it. It is probably the most complete Roman remains in Britain and a fascinating place to explore
