This experience came to Bristol and I was excited to get tickets and visit with my other art loving friends. Was long enough to keep you entertained but not too long to be boring. Lovely to learn more about his life and sad troubles. But also see his works. LOVED the section at the end where you can sit or lie and watch all 4 walls covered in moving works by Van Gogh, lulled into a dreamy siesta by classical music. We didn't do the virtual headset as it was a bit too much money on top of the entrance ticket, so can't comment on that.

With the Jorvik Centre still not scheduled to open until April 2017, the adjacent St. Mary's Church offers a suitable space to tell the Viking story in York. The wooden boat dominates the display but the surrounding explanatory panels are very interesting and relate to accompanying artefacts. Also, there is an army of appropriately clad highly enthusiastic guides.

York certainly has many unmissable sights but it's always nice to take home that little something you've discovered to keep as a reminder of your trip.
Pyramid Gallery is a little gem of a shop to discover on your walk through the Shambles. Full of unique quality arts & crafts, jewellery & lots more. I for one love to shop jewellery & was in my element surrounded by so many interesting designs. Two purchases later & I returned the following day for another two!
If I could wrap this shop up & pack it in my suitcase I wouldn't hesitate! Shopping made fun with such patient & thoroughly pleasant staff. Wonderful experience xx

Visited for lunch with 3 others, wonderful vegetarian food, all very fresh in a Mediterranean style. Beautiful gardens if the weather is warm enough. Will definitely visit again.

I love ska punk especially The Specials. I saw that this gallery is running an exhibitoon from Specials main man Horace Panter! My Dad and I said this was a no brainer. We went over and met the owners. The show was excellent and truly stunning, the art work of their latest artist Imogen Hawgood is wonderful. We were tempted to buy one but we bought a Horace Panter print instead but we wiull be 100% back. We had a beer in the Kings Arms afterwards and talked about how important it is for a city to have good galleries. The daffodils are out and it's amazing to see Clifford's Tower look so good.

In a town with so much tourist art, it’s great to see an independent gallery full of contemporary graphic, street and thought provoking art. We enjoyed some inspirational chats with owner Craig and even brought a part of “Art Of Protest” home with us.

A gem of a shop selling gorgeous collectibles and hosting a gallery showcasing local artists. Check out the Lalique and contemporary art. And a burgeoning jewellery collection.

This was our first visit, but we will definitely be back. It is just around the corner from York Art Gallery and the Theatre Royal and was well worth popping in. There is a room upstairs as well as what you can see from the street, and we saw some nice paintings, prints and ceramics. There were also cards and wrapping paper for sale, ideal if you find a present here to buy for someone.

Me experience of the Adze Gallery is that of discovering over priced toss. Firstly, the staff was overly pushy, and I got the impression that they were only interested in selling the work, not the work itself. I have spoken to some of the artists personally, they felt that are being exploited ay the gallery. Where work for £2,000, and not very good work, is propped up against the wall. Now, I will not be spending that amount of money for something that is regarded by the gallery, and I use that term loosely, as toss against the wall. Over all, the gallery was organized like a jumble sale. However, some the work was good, but not represented well by the directors. 04.09.03

Lovely gallery with a wide range of paintings. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. We purchased a Clare Haley landscape which we love, enhanced by the great service from this gallery.

I adore old books and this place was a fantastic find for me. Just to browse and enjoy the old book smell in such a lovely little shop was great. The sort of place where the stock will change each time you go in so it is worth a repeat visit
