A lot to do in a day....but very worthwhile.

Guide (Chrissie) was excellent. Knowledgeable and kept everything running on time.

Represents great value for money and gives you a great introduction in to the English countryside without everything pre-organised.

Beautiful and a lot of toilets, also the idea of the ice creams and the tornado camera , the advertisement of donate to animals and the publicity to stop eat tuna the best !

This was an amazing tour! Definitely worth the time on the train from London to Kendal and back. Our tour guide, Peter, was very friendly, passionate and well-informed about the history of Beatrix Potter and the Lake District. We were taken to a few breathtaking destinations around Windermere with just enough time at each spot to take photos and walk around. Lunchtime is spent in Hawkshead and if you’re not hungry you should check out the Beatrix Potter Gallery where you can view some of her original illustrations (there is a fee to get in). And it was a perfect ending to a perfect day with the ferry across the lake and finishing up with tea and scones at Lindeth Howe – just enough of a pick-me-up for the train back to London.

Great Experience! We didn‘t expext to learn so much about the great fire of London, the oldest pub and how fast our lovely guide Chris could repair a tire if necessary.
    Highy recommended!

Great game to play , fun and entertaining. The clues were challenging and the story line was creatively connected to the clues. Had an awesome time playing with the fam.

This is a brilliant day out and a great way to see London. Unlike other city treasure hunt games, you pay a little extra for the interactive element where you speak to members of staff at pubs, cafes and other venues who are all in on the game and give you clues to help you with the hunt. It feels really immersive and with a 3-4 hour duration, you feel like you get your money’s worth.

We were visiting from out of town and having previously lived in London decided to try something different. Is it a quest, tour or walk. It's all of these. Our whole family found this an interesting way to explore this lovely part of London. Hope to do more similar tours in the future

I was given this tour as a milestone Birthday gift and I was not certain of it's value, On arrival the guide was engaging and informative and gave a large number of settings and revealed aspects of my camera that I had not explored.

The locations for the shots were well thought out and gave me the oppurtunity to take plenty of magical pictures.

Stephen was a delightful guide for the tour. His knowledge of the area was so interesting and informative, with so much to see and learn.
Beautiful area with a fantastic combination of history and nature.

Social distancing was maintained and current Covid guidelines were strictly adhered, consequently I felt very safe attending the tour, despite the current circumstances.

I enjoyed the experience so much I have booked in for the 'Secret Gardens of the City of London' tour and ordered the accompanying book written by Stephen himself.

I have been on several tours over the years with other companies, however have found Ye Olde England tours (and Stephen) to be one of the best there is. I cannot recommend highly enough if this is your thing (or even if it's not!) as you will definitely leave feeling enriched from the experience.

Enjoyed the tour. Bus was nice, comfortable, clean and quiet. No working bathroom, so plan accordingly for the 2 hour ride. Pack a backpack with lunch or buy lunch there. Walked the 30 minute walk in lieu of shuttle to the stones through a pretty pasture. Can be muddy. Bus driver friendly and funny yet not overly talkative for the long ride. That was nice.
