    There is always somewhere in the park you can find peace, quiet and solitude. There is history, wildlife, architecture, culture and exercise available if you want it. I prefer to quietly walk around the serpentine and the gardens.

    One of London's Little-known joys is that the wild birds in the central Royal Parks are willing to fly down and take food from people. There is a brilliant feeding area in St James's Park on the south side, only two minutes walk from the tube station. Take some suitable food with you and you will make a lot of new friends. ❤️

    PROS
    * One of the royal parks of London
    * Large and sprawling area
    * Many criss crossing paths for walking, runing jogging and bicycling and also for strollers
    * A number of lakes and bodies of water as well
    * A fine location for relaxation, including picnic
    * The location of Kensington, Palace, the residence of Prince William and Princess Katherine
    * Adjacent to Hyde Park
    * The Albert Memorial is included in the grounds of this place and it is across the street from the fantastic Royal Albert Hall
    * The park and gardens are a short walk from the fantastic South Kensington museums of Victoria and Albert, Natural History and Science

    CONS
    * Mostly wide open green spaces
    * A lot of walking

    “ I VISITED THIS PLACE”…
    … as part of my exploration of the area, primarily the three fantastic museums in South Kensington, and the magnificent unbelievable one-of-a-kind, Royal Albert Hall.

    It is a good walk through the place – it’s large.

    I saw Kensington Palace from the entrance and then I walked and circled Round Pond and then I walked back to the unique brilliant Albert Memorial

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
    It is free

    WOULD “I VISIT THIS PLACE” AGAIN?
    Only to re-visit the Albert Memorial

    ADVICE
    *. Come here to see the stuff and be prepared to do walking
    * Be sure to cross the street and visit the Royal Albert Hall, as well as the fantastic museums of South Kensington on Exhibition Road

    I took the tube to Baker St and walked up the road past Sherlock Holmes’ house. The entrance to Regent’s Park is at the top.
    The lake is the first thing you see. Lots of birds. I saw Egyptian geese on my last visit and a grebe on this visit.
    There’s a great little cafe where the boats are. It’s lovely to sit outside here. The coffee is excellent.
    Walking further up there are toilets on the left.
    Continue further and London Zoo is on the right.
    Across the bridge over Regent’s Canal and over the road walking on you come to Primrose Hill. There’s another cafe here and toilets.
    It’s worth doing a detour here to look at the houses. There are blue plaques for Sylvia Plath and W B Yeats. Some good architecture around here too.
    The park is massive but you can’t get lost. It’s a beautiful green space and still has some Victorian influences e g a water fountain, and some great views of London.

    Primrose Hill was an absolute delight for me during my visit to London. The panoramic views of the city skyline from the hilltop were breathtaking, especially during sunset when the city lights began to twinkle. The lush green hills and serene atmosphere made it a perfect spot for a peaceful stroll and some great photo opportunities. I also enjoyed the vibrant street art and the cozy cafes nearby, which added to the charm of this location. Highly recommended for those seeking a serene yet vibrant escape in the heart of the city.I bought a railcard on trainpal and got a 20% discount when I entered the RC777E code! Hope to help those who come to the UK to play~

    Great place to sit and chill for a few hours after a busy few days in London. Handy to Knightsbridge area Sainsbury’s too so I popped in to buy food for a picnic before I went. Japanese Garden lovely too but much smaller than I expected.

    A place quite frequented by lovers of walks, especially with dogs, wonderful views, peace, unfortunately quite troublesome on wet days due to the considerable mud on the paths

    A nice park walk in London's Greenwich. Home to the Royal Greenwich Observatory and the Prime Meridian, where you can be at the centre of the world's time at the point of 00:00 hours and 0° longitude. Although you have to pay to get in and stand on the actual line itself.
    You can also visit the National Maritime Museum (free of entry) which covers much of the history of the United Kingdom and has many valuable exhibitions, most notably the coat worn by Lord Nelson during the Battle of Trafalgar.

    Hours of FREE fun can be had here, especially on a warm day with the sand to dig around in and plenty of different play areas like the little wooden play huts and the pirate ship! I’m sure there were other little fun areas too but ours spent hours just at the few places mentioned.
    There’s an on-site cafe for food and drinks too (pizza, ice cream etc)
    Top Tip: there’s a FREE WATER STATION next to the cafe to re-fill. Enjoy!

    You can say that London is a stuffy, busy, noisy metropolis, but it is a fact that London boasts the best parks. Green Park is one of the long list of parks that breaks the pressure of stone, asphalt and traffic. Take a walk through Green Park and the reward is a confrontation with Buckingham Palace and an even better park. St. James's Park. In the summer, when the weather is clement, deck chairs can be rented, sometimes a sea of deck chairs cover the grass. Green Park is also popular with the office workers for a relaxing lunch.

    Lovely park in east London! Definitely off the beaten path for tourists.

    I went for a long stroll with a friend following a calorie-heavy pub roast.

    It was beautiful - the park has a variety of different attractions, from gorgeous English gardens to water to sporting fields, etc. I quite enjoyed the varying landscapes as we walked in the crisp autumn weather.

    It was also a great scene - a diverse group of people enjoying the park on a Sunday; it felt like real Londoners vs. lots of tourists.

    The coffee shop was also excellent, with pleasant service.

    A perfect place to burn off the Sunday roast calories! Worth a visit.

    Crystal Palace Park is a 200 acre park in South East London. It is a huge expanse and ideal for long walks. There are sculptures, walking trails, a lake and an open air concert as wel as a maze.

    Been several times in the past and on our latest visit it was an overcast day and was fairly busy. We had a leisurely couple of hours wandering around.

    There are chargeable car parks and Crystal Palace bus station is at the south western part of the park, the raikway station is near the southern entrance making it very accessible

    Postman's Park was a serene and thought-provoking escape in the bustling city of London. The Memorial to Heroic Self-Sacrifice, with its moving inscriptions honoring ordinary people who performed extraordinary acts of bravery, was particularly inspiring. The peaceful gardens and quaint benches made it a perfect spot for some quiet reflection. The proximity to other attractions and the friendly locals added to the charm of this lesser-known gem. A wonderful place to visit for those seeking a quiet moment in the heart of the city, as well as for those interested in learning about the bravery of ordinary individuals.I bought a railcard on trainpal and got a 20% discount when I entered the RC777E code!
