Hyde Park is a must to see while staying in London. It is just the another half of Kensington Gardens.
It is very peaceful and so relaxing to take a walk there.

Beautiful, well kept and plenty of walking options. The gardens are well laid out and a nice variety of trees, plants and flowers create an oasis of calm in a busy area. Cafes serving a variety of refreshments coupled with plenty of benches to just sit and relax for a few minutes. A lovely experience.

The heath was our reason to stay in Highgate. We have done several trips to London over the years. We are cheap travelers and find we can stop in London for a few and then cheap fly somewhere else in Europe. So the park has several ponds and tons of hiking trails. Dogs are everywhere, so if this is a concern for you, keep in mind. I love dogs. On a nice day or two nothing beats a walk in the park. We also stopped at Kenwood house. It was a very nice visit. I would not stop for coffee/tea there as it was a bit of a zoo.

Another nice park in London (one of many), with plenty of room to roam, enjoy a picnic, a game of soccer, a stroll in the woods, a visit to Kyoto Garden and/or Dutch Garden (I recommend both), playing with your pup, etc.

There are lots of lovely areas in this park but my favourite must be the view on the hill, next to the Royal Observatory - you can see all over London! So best to go on a nice day. We looked around the rose garden, which is not in bloom yet and also saw the Rangers House (not open on a Monday) You could easily spend a whole day here. We went when we were on Treasure Trail tour and the park was part of the trail (you can download it online!)

Lovely day at this oasis, a gorgeous central spot showcasing historical botanical treasures. The cafe was lovely with rustic tables overlooking the lawns. Morning cakes were excellent and we even came back for a nice lunch after the tour. Amazing well spent 4 hours; thank you team.

Planned a morning here as part of a Japanese themed day but definitely overestimated the time needed here. We went around twice and still had loads of time to kill before the rest of the planned events!! It was very pretty unfortunately we had missed the cherry blossom by a couple of weeks which was part of the reason for going. We did explore some more of the park and had a coffee in the cafe garden in the sunshine so had a nice time

These wetlands are a valuable resource for the wildlife and also for people. A serene place to walk in, with fully accessible paths, mature trees and greenery plus the delight of seeing a varied collection of bird life. On a cloudy day in May it was a delightful place to wander in.
Well signed with information on the species seen and their vulnerability. While May is not an ideal time for interesting bird visitors, we were told by helpful staff of the very active Sand Martins.
The practical facilities were excellent, clean toilets, excellent restaurant and a well stocked shop with fun and useful items. Odd perks, like being able to hire binoculars seemed helpful.

My last day in London I had to get a COVID test to return to the USA. While waiting for results, I went for a walk through the lovely Green Park, from the tube stop to Canada Gate and around to Lancaster House.

Even though it was late February, chilly, and no leaves on the trees, it's still a sanctuary. Also surprisingly quiet even though it is, in essence, Buckingham Palace's north lawn with all the bustle of Mayfair and Soho beyond. Had a great walk around the grounds for an hour, took some pictures in front of the gate and palace. Wonderful.
