- Fofi80London, UK6 contributionsUnexpected brunch but very tasty. Price very very affordable and servers helpful. Rich plates and good smoothies. Nice location too close to the canalWritten April 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sheila Guk241 contributionsWhat a great venue. We only came across to this when following a treasure hunt game. Off the beaten track so you wouldn't necessarily find it.
The type of community centre that everyone would love to have in their town.
Great atmosphere, music & food.

- Richard HLondon, UK31 contributionsA quiet, relaxing place, especially on a sunny day, with a beautiful park, often visited by mothers or nannies with young children. Cafe to match. Had a very good baguette but 'soup of the day' had no taste whatsoever - presumably a packet soup from the cupboard, although i imagine that would have been a lot more interesting.Written November 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KingsrulerJamaica9 contributionsThe company I am working for booked The Emmanuel Centre for a week of Educational study days and I have nothing but niceties to comment on. The staff have a warm and welcoming attitude, and are helpful to the stages of above and beyond! The venue is an exceptional space, extremely central and caters to all of your expected needs. If you require an auditorium or smaller space this venue meets all of the requirements !!!

Great theatre. Really intimate. Brilliant venue for the audience to be part of it! Great location.Written February 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - TawseTerrier245 contributionsVery lovely happy place.. great for meetings, training and team bonding.. probably blooming awesome as a theatre but as they are all closed at my time of writing, I cannot judge that.. will certainly be looking the place up when I get a chance to see what is onWritten December 11, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lee ArmsLondon, UK2 contributionsLike the other reviewer of Kachette, I have walked past this building hundreds of times and wondered what was inside. I managed to score tickets last weekend to an exclusive launch party put on by Adidas and Sneakersnstuff. The venue is amazing, exposed brick walls, great sound system and friendly staff. Got talking to one of the bar staff and they mentioned that the venue also hosts birthday parties and weddings!Written June 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Becky111London86 contributionsNice place with a fantastic view and perfect for social distancing. Good location and easy to find.
It can get particularly windy (being on the rooftop) so make sure you have a jacket or something with you to wrap up, if needed.
However, my friend had an aubergine hummus from the food section and it looked a little peculiar, as soon as he finished eating it he suffered a stomach upset which lasted for some time.Written August 24, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - shinobidoLondon, UK89 contributionsWe attended to a salsa concert. The theatre is located next to elephant and castle train station, just at the corner. This are is dark and looks unsafe, many dodgy people around. There were 2 lines, as we got v.i.p tickets the queue wasn’t long. Once inside we noticed how old the place was, the arena, bar, toilets were unpleasant. Although the concert was nice, the facilities of the place are terrible.Written November 26, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Claudia SLondon, UK10 contributionsI love the venue itself and the atmosphere was great, just such a shame that the older man behind the bar (who I also believe may be the owner of the establishment) was so rude! He slammed down my drinks on the bar, barely said a word to me, clearly looked livid at having had to be there and also told my friend to eff off. Such a shame at what could have otherwise been a really great night.Written May 27, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gary B6 contributionsAn incredible, undiscovered gem of a venue in Hackney, local gigs, theatre, bar, evening classes including the wonderful Hackney Voices community choir! Well worth a visit. Reminiscent of a 50's seaside venue - remarkable.Written October 30, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- bonsai tre1 contributionthe centre itself worked fine, swimming pool was good and large enough and the changing rooms seemed clean enough but booking the tickets, as is with any better owned centre, was an absolute nightmare. wouldnt accept our login details even though we knew it was our password and when we tried to book on the laptop we encountered same problem but tickets were more expensive than on phone. seriously. this the case whenever we try to book with better and it never accepts our cards either. we have tried complaining about the fact it is impossible to book tickets and overpriced for an hour of swimming but they simply don't care. service with better is very poor, even though some of their facilities can be fun. even thats a bit hit and miss becuase you might get a fun day out with family and friends or get a plaster stuck to your foot, be screamed at by bodyguards and be kicked out the pool for having your head underwater for more than 10 seconds.Written March 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Louise VLondon, UK152 contributionsCame here for a Christmas concert, not an ideal location to get to but when filled with people is a cosy intimate venue. The staff were making quite a lot of noise during rehearsals but as a venue it's OK..Written December 22, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- John M2 contributionsMy second time at the club - both times for private functions. It's a wonderful place - lots of light and space. The food they laid on was delicious and all labelled. Not everybody does that. I hope to go back soon.Written May 31, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
