I seriously cannot rate Rabbie's highly enough. If you're considering taking one of their tours, please do!! I took another tour of theirs in Scotland in 2019 and had such a good experience that as soon as I booked another trip to England in 2022, I knew I had to travel with them again - and they did not disappoint! I haven't taken any of their day tours, but both multi-day tours I've taken were fantastic. The guides are so friendly and knowledgeable (the guide for my tour was Christo, and he was awesome!), the days are relaxed while still fitting in more sights than I could ever fit onto a self-made itinerary, and there's a friendly atmosphere on the bus. These tours are especially good for a solo traveler!
I don't have a single complaint! I'll never go to England or Scotland without taking a Rabbie's tour. Thank you for all the memories!

We took the overnight tour - used first class rail from London to Oxenholme which is worth the extra dollars. Our tour included Beatrix Potter's home - Hill Top as well as a short boat cruise across Lake Windermere, and a couple of short stops for breathtaking photo ops. The last stop was Lindeth Howe for cream tea (tea and a delicious scone), and this happened to be our hotel for the night as well. Delightful staff, very nice dinner, and good English breakfast. Day 2 was free for us to visit other towns in the area, and we highly recommend taking a bus to visit Keswick (about an hour ride from Windermere). Worth the time and the money!!!

I booked a day trip before with Rabbie's and had a great experience. Again I wasn't disappointed. Rabbie's booked the train ticket with reserved seat from London. Our driver Dom picked us up in Penrith in a small comfortable bus. He was very organised and knowledgeable. He didn't hesitate to add some stops for great views when we had the time and shift things around to dodge the rain for the photo ops. That is one thing to note. It can sometimes rain a lot there. So bring waterproof gear. That being said, this is still one of, if not the most beautiful region in England. Well worth dealing with the less than ideal weather.

As far as accommodations, we stayed in fantastic B&Bs in Keswick. While the tour also tends to stay in Windermere, it was peak tourist season so it would have been crowded. I was thankful that Keswick was cute and small with a decent amount of options for dinner (reservations are recommended though for many places).

Overall, we hit all the most important places to see and there was enough diversity of things to see (not just water). The optional activities are not too expensive and I think worth it, especially the steamboat cruise and the visit of Beatrix Potter's house.

I think this tour is great if you are visiting the UK and want to see something other than big cities. It's also great if you live in the south of England but have never been to the Lake District, especially if you don't have a car and/or don't want to drive yourself in the mountains.

Great experience! The sights were great photo opportunities and when we were on the roads, tour guide John was extremely entertaining and very knowledgeable. Not to mention very very friendly and hilarious! In my 3 days, I’ve seen more beautiful sights England has to offer than my friends who have spent 2-3 years here, so join a rabbies tour for a journey you would otherwise never experience!

Dan, our guide and driver, gave us a good balance of information and quiet time. He was entertaining and easy to listen to. The coach ride was very comfortable and the bed and breakfast was first class. This was a very effective way to see so many places central to England's story.

So I bought this thinking it would save time when visiting attractions as well as money. visit in the London eye first and discovered that they can’t scan the voucher on your phone at the entrance. So, you have to go wait on line with everyone else trying to purchase a ticket to collect a paper ticket and then go back and wait in the line for the ride. So you wait 20 minutes to get your ticket to then go wait on line to get on the eye another hour. It’s ridiculous. They should have someone outside at the eye ticket booth with a scanner for those who or e-purchased to hand our paper tickets. The same thing happened at Westminster Abbey. Those people with an explorer pass should be able to get in a different line.

My sisters and I are big Doc Martin and Poldark fans. Saw this offered through Richards tours and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! Our trip began with Richard picking us up at our hotel in London and driving us to Port Issac.. Richard was so pleasant and knowledgeable, we all felt very comfortable with him immediately Spent the first day in Tintagle and Port Issac. Spent the night in Port Issac which was fantastic . Richard picked us up the next morning and took us to the beautiful Poldark filming sites. He also took us to the famous Jamaica Inn to shop and eat if we wanted to. Richard dropped us off at our hotel in the evening. Hassle free way to visit these sites. Would not want to even think of navigating the narrow roads ourselves. Richard did an excellent job!

This is our second trip with Rabbie's and both have been outstanding. Our guide for this trip was Stuart Bowden. The bus can take up to sixteen passengers but there were only four on this trip including us. Just like they say if you book the trip it will go on. No cancelations. This is a wonderful way to see the area. Rabbie's sets up a great intinerary, has a knowledgeable guide/driver and they set the B&Bs for us. Our guide Stuart even got us a box of proper tea (Yorkshire) to remember England by.

The 3 day rail trip to Edinburgh, Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands was fantastic! Edinburgh is a beautiful old city with loads of charm. The people were nice and friendly. The Highlands are magnificent! Breathtaking views of gorgeous lush mountains, lakes and countryside. Loch Ness is beautiful and a little restaurant right on the lake serves delicious food at reasonable prices with a great view and their own local Loch Ness Ale. The trip was even better than we anticipated. The tour bus driver was a lot of fun and full of interesting facts. I highly recommend this trip!
