- DD9933Liverpool, UK13 contributionsThe bouncy soft play section has been completely replaced. It used to have a great mix of ball pit, slides, tunnels and passageways to run around in and bounce on, suitable for a wide age group. The revamp has 6 slides, 2 of which take up almost half of the area, the other 4 all converge on a small central area. My 9 & 11 year old kids got bored after a few times. It's great if you're kids are younger - while we were there parents lined the bottom of the slides to supervise the mostly 4-7 year olds that were there. The trampoline section hasn't changed and had a mix of toddlers to young teens. My guess is that they have purposely lowered the average age of their main target market. The garbled tannoy announcements are impossible to understand and the staff told us to get off with 3 minutes still to go, so that could be improved. Still a good venue for young children, but we'll probably try elsewhere next time.Written February 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Helen R5 contributionsWe had a really great 'Mothers Day' last year in the Marquee. The venue was lovely, the entertainment and DJ were a bonus, and the food and staff were great. It was a lovely way to spend a sunny Mothers Day, as they had seats outside so sitting looking at the view in the sunshine was a perfect way to end the day.Written February 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PerryLeeLpoolLiverpool, UK119 contributionsVagabonds is a long standing community based sports and social club which offers a range of activities
My favourite is Tuesday night's Latin American dancing class run by Brian and Christine where they offer tution in a range of South American dance styles; salsa , Argentine tango etc.
The class starts at 8pm for beginners and more experienced routines start at 9pm
Cost £6 and bar prices a very reasonable ; I paid £2.10 for a pint of lager shandy.
The class/room is small and intimate and "newbies" are made welcome.
And unlike some other classes I've attended beginners are not intimidated by more experienced dancers
