What travelers are saying
- AlyGWorthing, UK2 contributionsGreat little museum to occupy the grandchildren on a rainy day. Lots to see with interactive displays kept them amused. Very friendly and helpful staff. Don’t be fooled by the on line booking giving you an hours slot. You can spend longer there. Some chairs dotted around to help the smaller children see the exhibits, but these possibly would be best replaced by little steps. Overall a lovey afternoon and a ‘ Banksy’ just over the road to amuse the adults!Written July 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BplmumBlackpool, UK26 contributionsVisited with my daughter the day after we had watched England win their quarter final in the Women’s Euros. We are big football fans irrespective of gender but with 2 daughters playing the beautiful game, we are especially supportive of the woman’s game, so keen to see the exhibit at the museum. We did look at the rest of the museum and art gallery, but the football exhibit was our main focus. We were hoping to see something of the first official England woman’s team in 1972, but only because my daughter plays with one of their granddaughters. On reflection I expect once the ban was lifted and the team given the FA thumbs up in theory their adversity was lessoned. Anyway still worth the visit. Some heartwarming and heartbreaking stories retold and the opportunity to play a game of Subbuteo was not missed at the end.Written July 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sara CSanta Monica, CA7 contributionsI live in the United States and have been buying Elizabeth Price small sculpture from the gallery for several years now. I actually love dealing with Kellie and Elliot. They let me know when new things come in from this very accomplished artist so I don’t miss out on opportunities to purchase her sculptures. I really wish I could visit the gallery in person and say hello to staff. I hope to continue this relationship for a long time.Written May 23, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PishPashSouth Coast UK260 contributionsFabrica is currently showing The Forked Forest Path by Olafur Eliasson until 20th June. The installation encompasses the whole gallery space and comprises locally sourced saplings and branches, which highlights the issues of sustainability and climate change. This artwork invites you to follow dense twisting paths of many types of native trees. Takes a few minutes but is delightful.Written May 22, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Yebojohn1 contributionMy family recent had an overnight stay in Brighton. I fell in love with Zorian’s artwork. On returning from our night away, I contacted Zorian by email and arranged to purchase one of his Rhino prints in a beautiful chunky wooden frame.
All my dealings with Zorian were an absolute pleasure.
He arranged for it to be shipped to me. It was packed so well and labelled very clearly as fragile.
I am delighted with my magnificent piece of artwork and can highly recommend Zorian for his passion and enthusiasm, he was just so happy to hear that I was pleased with my artwork. He even advised when it came to hanging the piece.
Thank you Zorian!!Written November 29, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Super affordable and the Sukey walked me through what each piece would look like to ensure I was happy with the choices made. I am beyond grateful for her patience and expertise. Communication was perfect and I couldn't be happier with the end results. Highly recommend for anyone looking to invest in some quality art pieces and/or an affordable framing service!Written June 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - futtock21London, UK11,298 contributionsTwo Kats and a Cow are the triumvirate of John Matthews who paints cows with Kathryn Matthews, Katty McMurray who
paint landscapes. They have a gallery in arches underneath the seafront promenade accessed via the beach itself. Their work is pleasingly undemanding without any hint of the political edginess or sheer urban gunge which so compromises much of what passes for art in Brighton. They are joined by other local artists and ceramicists.Written July 19, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. In the South gallery are currently situated two wooden tents in which films by one Kannan Arunasalam are showing events of exquisite funkiness involving disappearing Tamil terrorists or freedom fighters or Brexiteers depending on one’s viewpoint in 2009. In the North the windows have colourful glazed tiles courtesy of one Fiona Grady whilst lectures on stained glass windows or stained glass Tamils continue regardless.Written May 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul BBrighton, UK1,507 contributionsA great and free space for artists to exhibit their work, and for the public to view it. Some fantastic pieces in here, from both professionals and students (including my sister 😊). Recommended.Written February 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sam & Karen VegansBedford, UK65 contributionsJurassic park print caught my partners eye as we were walking past. Decided to go in and so glad we did. Met and had a chat with the gallery owner Henry - nice guy, really friendly. Left with the print and a smile on our faces. Thanks.Written November 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 27L09RGlasgow, UK403 contributionsBought a few paintings, good selection - allowed to wander around without being harassed.
Friendly service when buying. Had run out of bags - luckily I had my own with me.
Has art outside and more inside the arches. You can pay by card too.Written August 23, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
