As if the Royal Pavillion wasn't fabulous enough, the highlight of our visit was the incredibly knowledgeable guide in the banqueting room. Sadly, I don't know that learned, -and gossipy- gentleman's name, but he is a tattooed version of Yul Brynner in the King and I.
That charming historian is worth a 1,000 guide books if you are lucky enough to meet him!

This was our first time in this area and it won't be our last. This is a city with lots of good reasons to visit and the lanes are certainly one of them. Far from your usual bland big name shops this place is full of individuality and it is great for just losing yourself as you were always discovering new things.

Independent bars, restaurants and shops dominate here and that's a refreshing change and gives it a unique character. The place is full of characters as well and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. A couple of good pubs and then a meal in a wonderful French restaurant and none of them chains or big brands.

Great place to visit, lots of independent shops selling all manner of things you won’t find elsewhere. Also lots of coffee shops, bars and eateries. Well worth a visit for a browse.

My family had a proper seaside holiday evening playing the tuppenny machines and claw machines. My Teens enjoyed a couple of rides- but it is expensive. The staff were helpful but not particularly cheerful. An exception was the guy selling doughnuts who was very smiley & gave us an extra one for free 😊

Great views of Brighton. Quite expensive for the experience as it doesn’t last very long. Expensive bar inside the pod.

We were in Brighton for 4 days and visited this beach every day as the kids loved it so much and it was close to the apartment we were staying in. It is a shingle beach, but this seemed to make the kids love it more as they liked to look for different rocks and pebbles. It also means that you can sit on it without getting full of sand. There are many attractions, bars and restaurants next to the beach including the i360, the Upside Down House, The Fisherman’s Museum and the West Pier Museum, shops, playgrounds, huge sand pits, crazy golf, tennis courts and lots more right next to the beach. It also has an amusement pier. The main centre of Brighton and Hove and its shopping areas are also only across a road from the beach. It’s such a fun beach!!

The view was amazing. Trek is not hard and is a good beginner version. Getting there is very easy and there is a great eatery also.

Beneath the cliffs along the Sussex seafront there are paths to take you alongside the beach.

Within Brighton there are different paths some on the same level as the beach and some are a bit higher.

The ones next to the seafront are well maintained however when I visited in January 2024 one of the paths higher up the cliff was closed.

You get some lovely views of the beach and the surrounding area including the piers and the marina.

We took our 8year old grandson to the Amex stadium tour, it was a great experience for us all. The tickets are not expensive, and Don was our guide and he was very friendly and very knowledgeable and welcomed any questions. The tour was very thorough, and we saw much more of the stadium than we expected. We also had a visit from Gully! The highlights for my grandson were seeing the players’ dressing room and also walking down to the pitch through the tunnel to the music of “Sussex By The Sea”.
    Can definitely recommend this tour.

I had a chicken dansak and Bombay aloo. It was the best I’ve had and I have one quite regularly at various takeouts. The chicken was cooked really well and not dry and the sauce was a great lentil mix of sweet and sour spices. I would recommend this place and they were super friendly.

Our guide was excellent. He had researched a lot of the history Brighton Police and was good at answering qyuestions. Next time that you want something to do for about an hour and a half in Brighton, for a very reasonable cost, please book a tour.
