What travelers are saying
- GrannySmith1957Weymouth, UK40 contributionsMy husband and I brought our grandson on an inset day so the zoo wasn’t too busy. We managed to see both the tiger and jaguar today which we hadn’t managed last time. The staff are so friendly and always up for a chat. Since our last visit the painted dogs have moved into their new home and it was lovely to see them so close. They performed well for us 😂😂. As with all animals you never know what will be out in the open but I reckon we saw most things. Still waiting to see the elusive cheetah though. Maybe next time. Grandson loves coming so we bought him a membership for Christmas. We certainly intend to get our moneys worth.Written January 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- James O'HanlonWirral, UK35 contributionsI booked myself on the tower tour, its been on my list to do for a few years now. There was only 4 of us on the tour, which is a good number, the max they can take is 10. We started with a little history of the building, we seen the oldest part of the Cathedral, we went into the bell chamber, along long disused paths high up looking down into the body of the Cathedral. Matt our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and told the history very well, and answered all questions thrown at him. The views from the top are great, you can see 2 countries and counties on a good day up there. There are over 200 steps up, but you stop of several times. Highly recommened if in the area.Written February 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- FIL MLondon, UK352 contributionsThe museum does have some interesting pieces, however I feel the majority is very much targeted to school age children. However, still interesting.
My friend and I enjoyed the re-creation of rooms towards the rear of the museum that shows history in a interesting way as you head from the kitchen, to the parlour, to the bedroom etc. Free to enter, though donations are suggested. They accept cash and contactless forms of payment.Written October 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Note 14th century wall painting.

I am not massively interested in military history but I still found it a very informative place. Very reasonably priced at £4, less for concessions. Staff very friendly & welcoming. We were there approx 1 hour & had a good look round in that time. Well worth a visit in my opinion.Written November 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
