I highly recommend visiting the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery particularly to see the Grayson Perry Lockdown Art exhibit. Not only is he an amazing artist and sculptor (his work on show is brilliant), he selected the most excellent art to display from members of the public and celebrities - the talent was awesome. Also, the museum has done a fabulous job curating the work so that some is put with the main permanent exhibits in an interesting, sometimes humorous way. I highly recommend.

I love going to Bristol and seeing the street art. I’ve visited for upfest a couple of times now though going after when the work is complete is good too. They are taking a break in 2019.

Have always enjoyed Arnolfini. They are doing all that they can to be open and available when allowed by law during the Covid restraints. The bookshop has been opened on a limited basis. It remains a thoughtful and expensive selection. We have been in but we were warned that it’s worth checking the Arnolfini website before a visit because restrictions can change at short notice.

An interesting gallery and well worth a visit. The art work was well displayed and information on the artist and the artwork was to be found on the walls as I walked around. There was an exhibition of Pacita Abad’ s work when I visited. Parking is not easy, but I found a place in the street running behind. There is also a café, which has a separate listing on this site, which serves good food.

Came here with my daughter and sister, had lunch in Boswells (cheesy chips, very nice) and then browsed the shops. Most of the outlets are now open. Quite a few people there today. There are some bargains to be had. Shame that Edinburgh Woollen Shop is now closed for good, we're very sad about that. A man was playing the piano, which we enjoyed. I must bring my music next time and give the ivories a tinkle!

Spent £26.50 for 6 and a half hours parking in Broadmead NCP. Everything we wanted was within Cabot Circus, Broadmead, The Galleries and The Arcade. Recommend the Klosterhaus restaurant near the Apple store, and the friendly key cutter in The Arcade.

This is a great place to visit for stimulating photography, current or historic. What is on show changes constantly (although the national collection is housed miles away at the V&A). The RPS has survived over a century and this is the 4th home in recent years.

Shows include those by members who have achieved RPS distinctions, meaning being able to see unfamiliar contemporary photography.

This is also an ideal venue to host photographic events. The event we attended ran smoothly and all staff & volunteers were friendly & helpful. Refreshments arrived promptly, tho the lunch caterers typically underestimated that the omnivores eat the veggie food first leaving little for the veggies.

The indoor & rooftop spaces are well thought out for activities. The location amongst arty industries is ideal.

We were drawn to the Bristol Flea Market and the three handed clock which enabled traders to keep track of timing in other towns as each had their own time system. Brilliant

A very interesting group of crafts people with excellent skills. I was in need of a leather strap and Arnold Smith was able to make one in a couple of days that is exactly what I wanted. John Dilley was interesting to talk to about his wood turning and makes very interesting items too. The jeweller/silver smith had unusual items and it was good to see the potter in action. Round your visit off with a cream tea at Dot's Teas - the scone was excellent!

I used to visit this market many many years ago to buy fabric and heberdashery. But as the number of stalls dwindled it was not worth visiting. However, it came to mind this weekend whilst i was sewing. I went online to check it was still operating and saw a rave review on Tripadviser and other sites that indicated that it was still operating and appeared to be flourishing (i.e upto 200 stalls!). So we visited it today to find just the one fruit and veg stall (a very good stall that got our business) and a lot of empty of empty spaces.
On the plus side the nearby Asian supermarket was well worth a visit..
