I booked the 3 x intermediate one-on-one private lesson package with Muriwai Surf School and it was great. My confidence in the surf has improved heaps and I have learnt some new techniques to ride the wave better. The instructors were great and very professional. Definitely recommend if you’re wanting to take your surfing to the next level.

Awesome. Water Nomads offer a unique and personalised five star experience, whether it is a surfari or a high quality gear hire.

I had a lot of fun snorkeling even though the water was pretty cold. The teacher was nice and helpfull, the information and tips provided were interesting. I can definetly recommend Saltwater Eco to everyone who wants to snorkel and learn a bit about nature.

I emailed Elements surf and set up a 5 day surf camp which was so cool I extended it by another 3. Coming directly from the UK I was quite clueless but Chelsea really helped by organising basically everything for me making it really easy and worthwhile. Alex was a great tour guide and occasional surf instructor and finally, Julles was just the best, took me from a total surfing beginner to sitting out the back trying to catch the green waves with everyone else. Cheers guys

Ok folks, let me tell you a little story about why Phil & Zen from the Piha Surf School are absolute bloody legends:

It was a solid Monday of pumping surf at Piha, breaking mid tide out at camel - draining! I was super excited and took the first wave that came my way -- too deep and behind the section, I straightened out onto the flats and looked back at a super powerful double overhead beast throwing out, and reeling off down the line. Piha is so exhilarating when its breaking like that! I thought I was about to enjoy an all-time session with only a few guys out, and the formality of just wearing one on the head...

I did a standard feet first pin drop and then underwater I was shocked by the power of the explosion, I got super violently beaten. I didnt hit the bottom, but the the wave ragdolled me and nek minut, my shoulder is out of the socket!

I've been surfing almost 30 years and in some heavy spots around the world. I cant remember the last time I got a drubbing like that!

I surfaced in excruciating pain with a dead arm, a hideous double shoulder, and began the one armed paddle to the beach. Every wave that came through I had to slide off my board and go under, holding my dead arm down against my side, but I couldn't always manage it, so the shoulder got agonisingly thrashed a few extra times for good measure.

I lurched up the beach to an empty south carpark, but for my old mate Phil who just happened to have some top shelf painkiller in his car. Phil totally sorted me out, called up the ambulance, sat with me until it arrived, and while the medic direct lined
some more happy vibes, Phil called up Zen who volunteered to drive my car back to the shore!

Zen & Phil, a big thanks and stoked shaka! You guys transformed a stressful situation into a really good vibe day!

I was wisked off to waitakere hospital and two docters popped the arm back into place. See you back out there soon buddies!

I organised a SUP lesson for 8 people for one hour. Sarah was a fantastic instructor. By the end of the lesson all of us had managed to standup on the board, if not for very long. The equipment was great and well looked after. A great group activity or for anyone really.

I booked 5 days staying and 4 days surf at Rapu. It was amazing!
The accommodation is really beautiful and the vegetarian catering from Brett was delicious!
I surfed before with some surfschools and i had an injury, but i feelt every minute really confident and save.
I never learned soooooo mutch about the surf, the techniques, the ocean, the terms and also a bit about myself!
Brett explained everything so clear and helpful! I was asking a lot of things and i got every time a really good and sometimes funny answers! :)
The week helped me a lot to improve my surf skills!

A big hug and a really big thank you Brett for teaching me all the stuff!

I can recommend everyone this surf with Rapu, also the advanced ones!

The best tour i have ever been on! Great crew of internationals, and the guide helped us get to know each other really well! The value for money was great, and we ticked all the boxes on the trip, including great jokes, laughs, games and fun!

I had my first kitesurfing lesson with Ricky on my trip to Auckland. Great teacher, I feel I progressed quickly and always felt safe, and great person to deal with.

Went with a friend to try out windsurfing. It costs $55 per lesson and I was able to get a special where you get 6 lessons for the price of 5. The cost includes all the gears including the wetsuit as well as a personal instructor. The staff and Alan are friendly which made it easy to learn and enjoy. They also do wing surfing as well as foiling.
I usually just book the next session the day after my lesson. I haven't book just gear yet though but they do that too.
They are located in Sylvan Park in Milford, just head to the lake and you should be able to see the van. It was a really nice intro to windsurfing.

This is way more fun than a Kayak, and the instructors were on hand for handy teaching tips. We had so much fun that my husband went and bought a board that evening! So for us this is the beginning of a beautiful hobby, thanks so much guys.
