What travelers are saying
- Mmkr948 contributionsDefinitely should take time out of your trip to visit! My mom and I rented a car and drove up from Auckland and were so glad we did. Not only are the gardens, sculptures, paintings and art incredible but as is the staff that work there. The restaurant on site was mouthwateringly delicious as well, great way to spend your dayWritten August 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Zuzana1 contributionI live in Warkworth but never been here until I’ve needed some unique presents to take overseas with me. Bought a necklace for my sister in law and she loved it, everyone complimented on it. Thanks! Happy to support local.Written July 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sheila2309Yeovil, UK21 contributionsWhat a wonderful gallery! We really enjoyed our visit here. The staff were friendly and engaging. The exhibits are beautifully presented and show that the gallery works closely with the community. Highlights of our visit included a ceramics exhibition that had resulted from a competion and a youth project developed in connection with a local school which had given young people an opportunity to express themselves through large clay models and to tell their story. Fabulous! Great views from the top of the building.Written February 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ajtbcHalfmoon Bay, Canada9 contributionsNice gallery with work from NZ artists, with a shop. Free to visit. You can get there from the passenger ferry terminal on the city bus with an AT HOP card. It's in a town with lots of shops and eateries.Written February 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - samchrisrubyCheltenham, UK6 contributionsFantastic gallery - has something for every taste, from traditional to abstract. Love that not just the art on the walls - as has large pull out racks so so much more than when you first walk in.Written March 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Greig WGlen Iris, Australia142 contributionsWas advised to check this gallery out while on Waiheke Island and enjoyed the diversity of the art on display. Was originally interested in making a purchase, although their prices are too exaggerated for what is on offer. Always respectful of the craft of the artists, but also experienced enough to know what is fair for the piece itself.
That aside, yes, worth the visit.Written February 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jo PHastings, New Zealand34 contributionsI visited Toi Gallery 8 years ago and so was excited to be going back to see Sally Smith's work again. I wasn't disappointed and bought two beautiful pieces. I was lucky to meet Sally in the Gallery and have her explain her work. Sally then posted my pieces in a fast and efficient way. Thanks for your creativity which I treasure on my walls.Written December 1, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Boba M. BaluchovaAuckland, New Zealand627 contributionsI visited Artspace NZ in Auckland recently thanks to 'New perspectives' openning exhibition. Nice venue with little library abd few exhibition rooms. The place was full of people because of good timing (Friday night) and good catering (a lot of white wine). As several visitors pointed out: they're interested in social life more than contemporary art... Obviously, the organizers took it into consideration :)Written September 26, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 654GregP654Cheltenham, UK889 contributionsJura is a small gallery near the harbour. It is crammed with work by New Zealand craftsmen including carving, painting and printing, jewellery, ceramics, fabrics and many others. It seems to have both traditional and modern styles in most media . Worth a look.Written February 9, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
