Catch the Airport Express Bus on the ground level of the Sky Tower for only $17. You can purchase your ticket online or pay the driver with a credit card.

Interesting to walk along and near the wharf and water. So busy even with nothing in particular happening. Great food available.

Good views across Auckland. Although you can walk to the top, it is safer by car. Good place to visit as part of a trip to Cornwall Park.

Wonderful place to visit. Great historical perspective of New Zealand settlers. Lots of buildings to wander to and through.

A wonderful bookshop - the old-fashioned type. A mixture of boutiques, none of them cheap! Very nice setting, next to the river.

Auckland is a souvenir shopper's delight (which is me!).
Queen St does have some good gift shops but also a mix of high end boutiques, banks, travel agents etc. You will find excellent souvenir shopping opportunities equally on Albert St that runs parallel, around the Sky Tower at SkyCity area and, in particular, down at the ferry terminal quayside (also great restaurants down there).
All within a walkable distance for a lovely few hours of retail therapy.
Note :- the Sky Tower has one of the best gift shops and you may well be able to access it without buying a viewing ticket? If not, it's still a good place to go.
The possum & merino mix wool products are especially good quality in NZ shops and a fair price.

We parked at the upper car park then headed towards the South Battery. There is a map of the hill and you can go in any direction. As one local out walking his dog said ‘you can’t get lost’! The path is mowed grass and follows the hill around in a circle. Lots of stops at old war installations, beautiful views of Devonport, Mt Victoria and the Auckland skyline. I was surprised we spent 2 hours here! Such a nice break from the city.

A visit to Parnell Village will surprise you to know it was once a Bohemian paradise. Today it is gentrified and known for its wonderful restaurants, charming cafes, and expensive shops. Parnell was established as New Zealand’s first suburb in 1841. It is filled with many ivy-covered buildings and narrow brick lanes. Worth taking the time to explore this delightful village.

We heard the history of the bridge on our tour of Auckland. Originally, it was 4 lanes narrowere then another 4 were added to make it more usefull as it is today.

We enjoyed the World Cup match here for Vietnam vs. USA. The venue is clean and the concessions are well organized and quick. If you see a line for a bathroom or concession you can walk another 20 feet and find one that isn't.

The staff are superb here and very approachable. The way they handled the crowds was impressive and we felt very safe while here.

Getting here is easy and they had exclusive free transit running between Britomart and Kingsford stations with the train before and after the match we attended.

One tip for this venue is that if the ticket says obstructed view, they mean it. We bought with the obstructed view in section 321 because it was cheap but we were behind the player benches and our seats were right beside the player tunnel!

We hope to be back one day for a rugby match!

Perhaps not worth a walk down to the wharf just to see this but a beautiful old building if you are in the area or planning to take a ferry. There are touchscreen ticket machines to self serve but also helpful staff on hand - good because I got confused at not seeing a ticket route called Devonport.
Electronic screens confirm the upcoming sailings and which pier to go to and this was all very clear. Good prices too.

In contrast to the rich wood interior of St. Mary’s, Holy Trinity Cathedral has two distinct parts. One is Gothic and the other is more contemporary. The large stained-glass window in the front of the church features a Polynesian theme with bright colored motifs. Its floor and ceiling are made of wood. The organ has 5,432 pipes. The Nave in the second part of the cathedral is similar to a traditional Māori meeting house. The design of this space can also be used as a community multi-purpose gathering place. More stained-glass windows are found along both sides of the Nave, depicting stories from the Old and New Testaments. Recommend a visit to both the Cathedral and the Church of St. Mary.

Had this on my bucket list and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend to anyone with kids or not to visit this if you have the opportunity. Good walking shoes, water and layer clothing would be a good idea. Loved it!

So much fun interacting and being with the farm animals. Children had such a great time on the farm. Well kept grounds and animals are greatly loved.
