- AcinetoAuckland Central, New Zealand20,073 contributionsQuite a large outlet store with lots of different brand in the mall. It does get really busy most of the time so finding parking is quite a task. The mall also has a few food places so you can have a feed or snack before, during or after shopping. Most places have sale prices so it can be cheaper than other places. It isn't super big but can be a way to spend an afternoon.Written September 29, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, most having fresh seafood. There is also plenty of tables both inside and out.
There is a fish market there as well with lots of fresh seafood available. It was nice to have lunch and then shop for something tasty. Worth a visit even if it is just to look around.Written January 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Located in an interesting back-alley this shop is worth a visit.Written January 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Giulia GYork, UK61 contributionsI fell in love with Pauanesia's products before I even visited the store - a Kiwi b&b owner in the UK had so many of their cute fabric kiwis in his b&b that I decided I would buy at least one before even arriving in NZ! I bought a medium kiwi for myself and 7 beanie kiwis for my friends and family. The shop is very well stocked (I always had to restrain myself from spending my entire paycheck there) and the staff are helpful and very patient as I spent ages there agonising over which kiwis to choose!
I have recently placed an order online/via the phone as well and have been very impressed both by the speed of the delivery and by the helpfulness of the staff, who after I phoned them immediately sent me a picture of the beanie kiwis they had available so I could choose one to order online.
It is such a pleasure to shop here and support a store that stocks unique, genuine NZ-made products! Please please please start offering overseas shipping!!Written February 7, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We toured NZ but ended up going back to kiwa for our souvenirs on the way back to the airport because we did not find anythingelse as good on our travelsWritten July 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Avril W4 contributionsWhat an awesome experience! The team were so knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Sasha ran a wonderful workshop and assisted in creating a beautiful unique fragrance which I love! Well worth the very affordable cost. A must do while in queenstown.Written October 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alister R1 contributionThe range was incredible. There's just so much to look at and explore. I found so many gems, and was laughing at the weird novelties a lot. It was a great atmosphere, everyone was in a good mood, buzzing about Christmas. Staff in the audio department went out of their way to help, answered all my audio queries. It was really busy yet the staff were working fast through the queue of christmas shoppers, and seemed in a good mood. I found gifts for everyone and also got myself some records. Rate it highly for a visit and I am looking forward to going back for a dig in the bins, especially the sale store upstairs. There were kids around with parents, it is quite a mixed store of products, but parents shouldn't leave young kids alone as it mainly is a store for big-kids.Written December 24, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GWashOnTourTewkesbury, UK16 contributionsHad an excellent tasting experience with Fiona today. Great knowledge of the wines grape types and terroir for each label, followed by a quick walk round with Michael B the current ‘boss’. All very friendly and no pressure to buy (we were en route to our home UK bound flight at the time so will order when at home)Written March 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CarolynCBGCambridge, UK37 contributionsWe visited on Sunday 16 February looking for souvenirs. After having shopped in other gift shops in Auckland, this one on Parnell was the best we came across. It is hidden slightly down a little side street but well worth the visit.
This large shop is stocked with all things made in NZ and many handcrafted items. There were plenty of original and different items such as jewellery, wooden hand carvings, artwork and clothing and plenty more.
The shop assistant was super friendly and knowledgeable about everything.
Highly recommended and worth a visit. Definitely important to support local businesses and buy locally crafted products.Written February 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can see the bees working and buy honey and bee products.
We had ice creams in the cafe vanilla and honey and strawberry and honey both were large and delicious. Not too sweet either . The young girl serving was friendly and chatty and let us have a taste. The icecream is only sweetened by the honey and I am salivating as I write this.
At the time of writing there are only 5 cases of coronavirus in New Zealand I believe from the same family.Written March 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
