This is a very tranquil place to visit, with lovely gardens, the pond, the woodland walk, the cow pen where you can purchase greens to feed the cows, and of course the magnificent temple.

Very nice cathedral covering a huge amount of land and with a very interesting history I can recommend the guided tour with very knowledgeable guides well worth a visit if you are anywhere near St Albans
Worth seeing: 13th century wall paintings, bell tower (open some weekend), watching loft, St Albans tomb, the tapestry of the cathedrals history, the rose window, the Lady Chapel and the new exhibitions / displays.
