Frankly, the weather was lousy on the day we tour our tour of Capri. Cool, and overcast, which really prevented us from seeing the Blue Grotto and more fully enjoying the Island. Having said that, we still had a great time. Our tour guide was wonderful, and had lots of alternatives and suggestions for our group in the event of inclement weather. We enjoyed the gardens on the far side of the Island, which included a tour of a perfume factory, and wonderful areas to view the coast. Lots of very expensive shopping along the way, which reminded me a bit of Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. If you are in the main Island Square for any amount of time, try the "Special Juice" from the juice bar located there. It is a combination of Lemon and freshly squeezed orange juice, and it was absolutely delicious, We also took the chairlift to the summit of the Island and although the view was somewhat obstructed by clouds, it was still worth the time. As an alternative to visiting the Blue Grotto, we took a boat tour around the Island, and honestly, I think we enjoyed that more than we would have a quick trip 5 minute visit inside the Blue Grotto. Whoever was captaining the boat did a masterful job of piloting the group in and out of indentations in the steep cliffs there. For a crappy day, we had a great time.
