Overall, a very nice experience, the trail guides were very friendly and helpful.
The ride was about 45 minutes through some nice pine forest, wish it was longer.

My son and I checked this off of our bucket list today! It was an amazing ride. We walked, we trotted, and we saw a baby fawn! The trails were awesome, the horses were very calm and the guide was extremely knowledgeable and encouraging and sweet! We had great weather and I will definitely be returning here to horseback ride again in the future! All around it was an experience that my son and I will always remember!!!

Sugarmountian Stables is now closed. I first rode there 18 years ago as a client on a trail ride. Well , One thing led to another...and a wonderful friendship was started. Eileen and I have put many miles and many trails behind us. All of those I did on Mickey, the best horse in the world. Having first been on a horse at the age of 2 (yes, I am a lot older now!) and having ridden for 64 years now...I thought I knew all about horses. But every ride, every trail, every competition was a learning experience. Eileen and I found we had a lot in common besides riding. Birding was one. A cold Guinness was another! I was introduced to some special women who also rode there and we formed a "group". Since we all enjoyed lining up, letting our horses go and yelling, "Yee Haw", we became The YeeHaw Girls. And all of us going on vacations with the horses became a yearly event we all looked forward to. And an added bonus was the fact that all our husbands got along! Iwill never forget when Eileen asked me (and Mickey) to go on a 30 mile trail competition with her and Hocus. 30 miles, in the rain, trails washed out, did it in just over 6 hours. Soaked to the skin but we survived. And an experience we will never forget. And a special bonding on that ride between horses and riders. So, after 18 years, good times, sad times, fantastic trails and wonderful friends., we shared it all...we close this chapter of our lives and open another. And We will all remain friends! And now it's time for us to get into some "other trouble" as only we can do. Thanks Eileen!! To the YeeHaw Girls.....YEE HAW!!!!!!!!!!!🐴😄🍺🍷

This was my husbands first time on a horse and they made him feel welcomed! We went on a trail and saw the beauty of nature. Our guide made sure we were all safe. Great place to visit. My horse name was pepper! Beautiful well kept. It’s hard to find at first, but well worth it! Definitely a great visit.

We chose this as an alternative to tubing which was closed at Jack Frost because of COVID. You would never know it's behind the Mountain Laurel conference center. I called and got a reservation for 4 of us at noon that same day. I hadn't gone horseback riding since I was a kid so despite being a bit nervous it was fun! It was a 45 minute ride through a nature trail - very peaceful. We had a guide in front, and 1 or 2 in the back. Evidently the horses have a preference with who they like to walk next to or behind and my horse Ruby liked to be near the front so she was trying to move up ahead . My friend got the biggest horse they had, Moose. I think she sat a head taller than everyone else, haha. Our 12 and 13 yr old girls really enjoyed it too. I'm sure we'll go back!

Both my wife and I never rode a horse in our life and we now love it thanks to TRIPLE W and there awesome staff and guides. We we paired with horses that made us feel comfortable my wife had Bella and I was on Dollar. We did the 2 hr ride and got to trail ride trot and gallop in and open field and learn how to become one with the horse. Our guides Kyle and Conner were amazing knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The horse are well kept and cared for the farm was clean and had minimal order or bugs. We will be back as soon as we can to do it again. Thank you Triple W for a awesome day.

Family owned. Beautiful farm not far from us . A few of us had bad experiences with hoarse’s we were anxious to say the least . Granddaughters wanted this for their birthday so off we went . Beautiful /gentle hoarse’s . Owner matched us perfectly . Trail was shaded and fun. Farm was clean , animals well taken care of . Lovely people . They could have taken our money for longer ride but because we were newbies they recommended 1/2 hour . Which was just perfect . Honest /kind hard working people . Much love and thankful for this day of making memories ❤️😊

If you ever need a place long or short term to board your horses Vanderbeek stable should be #1 on your list. Mike ,the owner is very fair and generous and I'm sure we will be long time friends at this point . One of our horses (a 29 yr. old morgan mare) had special needs, her meals needed to be soaked and had to be fed on a different schedule , Mike and his daughter did this every evening and made it into a father/daughter chore. The indoor arena and the stalls are beautiful and when my other mare needed extra work that I wasn't able to do myself Mikes barn manager/trainer Rylee worked her daily for me. I have always loved having my horses at home but Vanderbeek stables definitely is a close second. Thanks for a great 5 months at your beautiful facility!!!!!! Keith & Bobbie Lewis

My wife and I did a quick weekend getaway to Pocono Palace. We were told about Happy Trails Riding Stables. We got there and got our horses. My wife did get bucked off once but they allowed her to switch horses and all went well. We really enjoyed the 2 hour tour and had a well knowledged guide with us which made the experience even more enjoyable.

I stayed about 25 miles away and commuted to the farm for two training sessions per day for three days. I wanted to do a beginners jumping clinic which the owner, Karen Orloff, tailored for me.

The horse, Tori, was a small mare having a very smooth trot and easy to get into a canter. Each afternoon I had an hour private lesson with Karen and then at 6:00 PM I joined a group jumping class. Karen first evaluated my riding level then we moved on to practicing the two point position. The first jumping class went well but I was not happy with my performance. Karen was present to see how I did. The next day she showed me the jump technique she called "Feel and Release" and then everything clicked. I did much better in the second jump class and even began to work on a flying lead change after the set of three in-line jumps. On the final day we focused on the Feel and Release technique and also instigating Tori to get the desired lead going into the jump. We finished up with a laid back trail ride.

Karen is a top notch instructor and my objectives for the clinic were actually exceeded by adding the flying lead change. Finally I have a jump technique to work on. I tried to tip Karen as I left and had to do quite a bit of persuading in order to get her to accept it, so I also rate Karen's integrity as very high. When in the area and if I can fit it in, I will always go back to ride at Peaceful Valley Equestrian at Harveys lake, PA.

The farm was very well manicured, it reminded me of long wood gardens. The property was clean, the barn was immaculate. You could literally eat of the floors. I loved the experience as they showed us how to brush the horses. I felt very comfortable going on the trail as there were side walkers with us the entire time. It was a peaceful experience, and we would absolutely ride again. Very well trained and welcoming staff.

My friends and I went to the Pocono area for a long weekend and purchased a groupon for $25 a person instead of their usual $40 pp price. I called ahead to reserve a time and was told that I had to call the morning that we wanted to go because they don't take reservations. I specifically asked if I would have any problem getting in and the man told me no. He said we open at 9 call us then. I called around 9:30 on Friday morning and could not get through, the line was busy for at least 30 minutes (who has a busy signal anymore??) When I finally got through I was told by a very nasty lady that they were booked for the day and that I'd have to call back the next day and try again. I explained that I just paid $100 for a Groupon and that we were leaving on Sunday and she barked at me, we don't take reservations you need to call back tomorrow. This time I was told that you can start calling at 8. So the next day (Saturday) we tried again. We called a little before 8 and got voicemail. We left a message saying that we were interested in reservations for 4 and a return number. At 8 am everyone in my party dialed figuring that one of us would get through and the line was busy for nearly 10 minutes but we finally got through. The same nasty lady answered, told us that it was a 45 minute ride for $40 per person cash only, at which time I told them that I had a groupon, She gave me 2 time slots to choose from 10 am or 3 PM and told me that I needed to bring proof of the groupon. I told her that I had printed it out and she got nasty and told me that it had to be on my phone or they wouldn't accept it.....ok so reservation made. About 10 minutes later we get a call from the stable in reference to the message that was left about making a reservation so we asked what time they had available. It was the same nasty lady but she was a lot nicer. She went through the whole speech again about the cost and that it had to be cash only at which point we told her that we had a groupon, The tone of the woman on the phone completely changed and she said the only time available was 9 am (it was already 8:45) There was no way anyone could have made that time so we chose to stick with our original time of 10 am . We arrived about 20 minutes early and this old lady comes out and tells us to fill out some forms and bring them back, we did, at which point she asked for payment. I took my phone out and showed her my groupon. She didn't even look at it and told me that the groupons are only good Monday through Friday. I told her that I tried to get in yesterday and they were booked and that I was told to call back today AND I told them then that I had a groupon! I had also told her when I called this morning I told them that I had a groupon. She told me that that was too bad that those are the rules but if I gave them an extra $10 cash per person we could still ride. Since we were already there and wanted to ride we gave her the cash which she stuck in her pocket and she "logged" my groupon by hand in a spiral notebook...so much for we will not accept a printed copy! When the time came for us to get on the horses the old lady and her staff (which looked like they were her daughters) started yelling at people if they weren't sitting correctly or holding the reign correctly, but we were given no instruction on how to sit or hold the reign. I was one of a group of four and there was another group of six and they were taking us all together. My friends were brought to the front of the single file line and I was put at the end behind the other group. When I asked if I could be put with my group I was told no, the horses choose the lineup!! The ride itself was ok, we went up a hill turned around and came back. The total was about 25-30 minutes not 45 minutes. They counted the time it took for the entire group of 10 to saddle up as part of the 45 minutes. It was obvious that these women loved and cared for the horses but have absolutely no people skills. The office staff is nasty. In my opinion the groupon is a scam to get people to come in and still pay cash for the ride. They make it impossible to get a reservation during the valid times to ride. Unless going on a horseback ride is on your bucket list, I wouldn't bother with this place. There was nothing memorable about it except how nasty they were.
