Great family friendly activity ( for older kids and teens)! Guides were wonderful and thoroughly explained the basics of horseback riding! Horses were gentle, well behaved, and well cared for!!!

Daisy Field Farm was simply impressive. The farm is a real working farm, not some pretentious similation. The family are great Mick and his wife are the REAL DEAL! They spent more time and patience on my family. I have four grandchildren, 1,4,8,9, and some apprehensive and they took the time on them. We saw loads of deer and even bear tracks. If you want to show your generation of family what real farms are, I suggest you visit this farm.

If you ever need a place long or short term to board your horses Vanderbeek stable should be #1 on your list. Mike ,the owner is very fair and generous and I'm sure we will be long time friends at this point . One of our horses (a 29 yr. old morgan mare) had special needs, her meals needed to be soaked and had to be fed on a different schedule , Mike and his daughter did this every evening and made it into a father/daughter chore. The indoor arena and the stalls are beautiful and when my other mare needed extra work that I wasn't able to do myself Mikes barn manager/trainer Rylee worked her daily for me. I have always loved having my horses at home but Vanderbeek stables definitely is a close second. Thanks for a great 5 months at your beautiful facility!!!!!! Keith & Bobbie Lewis

Both my wife and I never rode a horse in our life and we now love it thanks to TRIPLE W and there awesome staff and guides. We we paired with horses that made us feel comfortable my wife had Bella and I was on Dollar. We did the 2 hr ride and got to trail ride trot and gallop in and open field and learn how to become one with the horse. Our guides Kyle and Conner were amazing knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The horse are well kept and cared for the farm was clean and had minimal order or bugs. We will be back as soon as we can to do it again. Thank you Triple W for a awesome day.

We opted for the 1 hour ride which turned out to be a private ride when the other party was a no show. The owner and her daughter rode with us and answered our questions about the horses and the farm , but otherwise offered very little information. The trail wound mostly through woods with some slight up and downhills which was a nice challenge as we both have limited riding experience. We would have opted for the optional helmets if reminded.

I was looking forward to a trail ride as part of my mini get away. I made the reservation well in advance of my trip. Upon arrival, I was not sure where to go and a woman who appeared to work there, did not offer assistance, though she met my eyes many times. I went to the office twice before a man came and was able to help me. I was ready to just give up and leave. After completing releases, I was assigned to 3 young ladies, 2 of whom may have been training, but no problem, I liked that I was the only customer on the trail ride. I was told to step up onto the stairs they have to assist with getting on the horse and then told to get on. I had not been on a horse in many years and was taken aback by the abruptness I felt. I became unsettled and told them I wanted to get down and not ride. I felt like I was coming off the saddle and was holding the banister to the stairs and was told to let go because that was pulling me off. I was holding on because I thought I was falling. At that point, I got off the horse, Daisy, and I think they realized that I was distraught. The one younger lady, was very nice and said she would hate for me to miss out and the one helping me with the horse became very encouraging as well. I decided to move forward, especially after they said that they give my horse to children and she is very gentle and calm…lol! It was not a fear of horses. It was not having the opportunity to first, meet Daisy before hoping onto her, and not being allowed to get my bearings once on. I think that is important to allow because you have to remember what it’s like to be up on an animal who moves when they need to and I also wanted to trust the young ladies and know they had my back and I initially did not feel that way. Once I got back on and the saddle was tightened and I sat and waited a few minutes for them to get on their horses, we were off. The ride experience from that point was wonderful! The trail was peaceful and beautiful and I got to chat with one of the young ladies who had been sky diving and was a treat to get to know. My apologies for not recalling names, it’s age related, not on purpose…lol! Daisy was a treat!! She knew the trail and followed the lead horse, though I neglected to be mindful of her avoiding certain areas on the trail and taking me under low hanging brush, I was just glad it wasn’t poison ivy or oak or something I was allergic too. It brought a smile to my face as I was leaving the next day to return home and I recognized the sign for the town and the edge of the farm we had traveled before I even saw the sign for the stable! The stable also has a small petting area and they sell fresh eggs. This was a very nice place, I just hope they remember to start off as friendly and encouraging as they ended up being. It ended up being a lovely time!

My friends and I went to the Pocono area for a long weekend and purchased a groupon for $25 a person instead of their usual $40 pp price. I called ahead to reserve a time and was told that I had to call the morning that we wanted to go because they don't take reservations. I specifically asked if I would have any problem getting in and the man told me no. He said we open at 9 call us then. I called around 9:30 on Friday morning and could not get through, the line was busy for at least 30 minutes (who has a busy signal anymore??) When I finally got through I was told by a very nasty lady that they were booked for the day and that I'd have to call back the next day and try again. I explained that I just paid $100 for a Groupon and that we were leaving on Sunday and she barked at me, we don't take reservations you need to call back tomorrow. This time I was told that you can start calling at 8. So the next day (Saturday) we tried again. We called a little before 8 and got voicemail. We left a message saying that we were interested in reservations for 4 and a return number. At 8 am everyone in my party dialed figuring that one of us would get through and the line was busy for nearly 10 minutes but we finally got through. The same nasty lady answered, told us that it was a 45 minute ride for $40 per person cash only, at which time I told them that I had a groupon, She gave me 2 time slots to choose from 10 am or 3 PM and told me that I needed to bring proof of the groupon. I told her that I had printed it out and she got nasty and told me that it had to be on my phone or they wouldn't accept it.....ok so reservation made. About 10 minutes later we get a call from the stable in reference to the message that was left about making a reservation so we asked what time they had available. It was the same nasty lady but she was a lot nicer. She went through the whole speech again about the cost and that it had to be cash only at which point we told her that we had a groupon, The tone of the woman on the phone completely changed and she said the only time available was 9 am (it was already 8:45) There was no way anyone could have made that time so we chose to stick with our original time of 10 am . We arrived about 20 minutes early and this old lady comes out and tells us to fill out some forms and bring them back, we did, at which point she asked for payment. I took my phone out and showed her my groupon. She didn't even look at it and told me that the groupons are only good Monday through Friday. I told her that I tried to get in yesterday and they were booked and that I was told to call back today AND I told them then that I had a groupon! I had also told her when I called this morning I told them that I had a groupon. She told me that that was too bad that those are the rules but if I gave them an extra $10 cash per person we could still ride. Since we were already there and wanted to ride we gave her the cash which she stuck in her pocket and she "logged" my groupon by hand in a spiral notebook...so much for we will not accept a printed copy! When the time came for us to get on the horses the old lady and her staff (which looked like they were her daughters) started yelling at people if they weren't sitting correctly or holding the reign correctly, but we were given no instruction on how to sit or hold the reign. I was one of a group of four and there was another group of six and they were taking us all together. My friends were brought to the front of the single file line and I was put at the end behind the other group. When I asked if I could be put with my group I was told no, the horses choose the lineup!! The ride itself was ok, we went up a hill turned around and came back. The total was about 25-30 minutes not 45 minutes. They counted the time it took for the entire group of 10 to saddle up as part of the 45 minutes. It was obvious that these women loved and cared for the horses but have absolutely no people skills. The office staff is nasty. In my opinion the groupon is a scam to get people to come in and still pay cash for the ride. They make it impossible to get a reservation during the valid times to ride. Unless going on a horseback ride is on your bucket list, I wouldn't bother with this place. There was nothing memorable about it except how nasty they were.

The farm was very well manicured, it reminded me of long wood gardens. The property was clean, the barn was immaculate. You could literally eat of the floors. I loved the experience as they showed us how to brush the horses. I felt very comfortable going on the trail as there were side walkers with us the entire time. It was a peaceful experience, and we would absolutely ride again. Very well trained and welcoming staff.

I stayed about 25 miles away and commuted to the farm for two training sessions per day for three days. I wanted to do a beginners jumping clinic which the owner, Karen Orloff, tailored for me.

The horse, Tori, was a small mare having a very smooth trot and easy to get into a canter. Each afternoon I had an hour private lesson with Karen and then at 6:00 PM I joined a group jumping class. Karen first evaluated my riding level then we moved on to practicing the two point position. The first jumping class went well but I was not happy with my performance. Karen was present to see how I did. The next day she showed me the jump technique she called "Feel and Release" and then everything clicked. I did much better in the second jump class and even began to work on a flying lead change after the set of three in-line jumps. On the final day we focused on the Feel and Release technique and also instigating Tori to get the desired lead going into the jump. We finished up with a laid back trail ride.

Karen is a top notch instructor and my objectives for the clinic were actually exceeded by adding the flying lead change. Finally I have a jump technique to work on. I tried to tip Karen as I left and had to do quite a bit of persuading in order to get her to accept it, so I also rate Karen's integrity as very high. When in the area and if I can fit it in, I will always go back to ride at Peaceful Valley Equestrian at Harveys lake, PA.
