Words cannot describe the beauty or richness of the Basilica it just has the wow factor, the paintings both on the ceilings and walls are breathtaking and the history of the past to the present is phenomenal.
Highly recommend going to the 5 euro museum upstairs to see the mosaics up close and the incredible history of the 4 bronze horses (originals are kept there) that may draw to Alexander the Great.

My most favorite part of the visit was gazing at the amazing wood carvings of allegorical secular figures by Francesco Pianta which are located in the Chapter house.

Chiesa di San Zaccaria is a venitian style in marble with a very nice architecture, precious stones and mural paintings by Tintoretto, very imposant basilica di San Zaccaria.
The facade of the San Zaccaria is a awesome and typical example of the Venetian Renaissance style, a combination of late Gothic and classic renaissance style.

There is something genuinely unique and beautiful in this church designed in the round with wonderful marble floors and soaring central vault taking center stage in a space designed as a bridge to heaven.

We came here especially to see the amazing oil on canvas painted ceiling said to be the largest in the world depicting the life of St.Pantelon made by Gian Antonio Fumiani.
The masterpiece of this church is the ceiling... the biggest canvas painting in the world, the size of which makes it truly spectacular.

This is a fantastic church located in a nice little square, once inside the architecture is quite impressive but the real reason to visit in the relic of Santa Lucia, it’s really quite amazing.
But, once you enter, you see a beautiful church, with a real gem inside -- the body (or what remains of it!) of a fourth century martyr, St. Lucy.

Quite by chance found this church around the corner from Rialto bridge, went inside and read on the plaque that this is the oldest church in Venice!
Many tourists will miss this as they cross the Rialto Bridge and head for the fruit and produce market in the square immediately in front of it.
