My children loved the museum, the flying boat was of course a real hit with them and the chance to sit as pilot and co-pilot on the flight deck inspired lots of questions and excitement.
... city - Supermarine, the Schneider Trophy, RJ Mitchell; the Spitfire; the home of Flying Boats - this museum commemorates so much local aviation history that it deserves better support from the Local Authority.

A medieval building beautifully restored with an interesting new exhibition on the history of the town and stunning views from the top of the tower towards the liners in port and over the old town itself.
The 'stories behind the stones' provides an amazing insight into the people who lived in and around the building, and the exhibition spaces were filled with a mix of traditional and contemporary art.
