    interesting history
    nice walk and interesting place in history.Only found because we asked a local lady who directed us .Nice place for photos .Car park in village free there was a place for donations.Public toilet in village.To see all you have some steep steps but worth the effort.

    Marvellous milk!
    Brilliant idea and such fun! Buy your bottle from the vending machine, then fill it up with milk and add syrup if you want to transform your milk into milkshake. We loved it and used it every day during our 5 day stay. Great for the community and no travel for the milk so it’s eco friendly and super fresh.

    Wool, wool and more wool
    Fabulous shop for anyone interested in wool - knitting, crochet, felting, weaving. Well stocked, knowledgeable staff, great location. My wife visits this shop every time we visit the Lake District. Tucked away in a corner of Caldbeck, but easy to find. Currently only opening Thursday to Saturday I think, check times before you visit.
