What travelers are saying
- Dan LBunbury, Australia9,017 contributionsI doubt that Lovina would be noted for the quality of its beach but nevertheless there were a number of locals and tourists enjoying the rather coarse sand, some parts grey, other areas black in colour. Our friendly driver from Agus Dolphin Tours advised that the waters are safe for swimming and other water sports. We were impressed by the number and variety of outrigger boats, Jukungs, lining the beach after returning from early morning fishing and dolphin tours. The beach stretches over an 8km length and offers many tourist facilities in it's hinterland.Written August 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Catherine GlobalLondon, UK184 contributionsWe nearly gave up on walk there but glad we persevered. Quiet and pretty waterfall. We were the only ones there. - Catherine CPerth10 contributionsWe were advised to go in the morning before it became too hot. The gardens are laid out beautifully so nice to wander through. There are a lot of steps up to the site and there are new steps being built due to a land slip. This is built on a much smaller scale than Borobudur in Java. If you’ve been lucky enough to have seen Borobudur at sunrise you will know what an experience that is. We were pretty hot after climbing up the steps but then went into the Meditation room with the high ceiling and ornate “alter” and loved how cool and serene it was. This is where the monks come to meditate. There are nice big shady trees to keep cool and our driver pointed out one that was special and that was where the monks will also meditate. The day we were there a wedding was about to take place and the area was set up with white floating draped arches and flowers. What seemed strange in such a spiritual place was the modern music coming through a speaker in anticipation of the impending nuptials. All in all was a pleasant visit and was happy to spend a couple of hours there. There was a small charge I think it was around 20000rp so pretty cheap.Written July 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - belgianguy1Bruges, Belgium13,351 contributionsCame here on a weekday during the Christmas holidays...place was nearly deserted, just a few cars on a giant empty parking lot...I suppose for kids it's nice and fun, less interesting for adults (surely can't compete with the excellent waterbom park in Kuta)
I resent the dual pricing (locals vs foreigners) but that seems to be the growing trend anywhere in Bali :-(Written December 28, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kris GColombo, Sri Lanka87 contributionsIt is a very long drive to the south east of Lombok to the pink beach over 2 hours
The sea was lovely warm blue and calm the beach was sandy and full of corals
Certainly not pink
It has slight tinge of pink when the waves wet the sand
Please don’t mislead the tourist saying it’s a pink beach it certainly is notWritten July 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Ever changing expositions and the perfect place to load up on cultural input! Great selection of artists: some daring, some innovative, some classics. Surely worth stopping by when in North Bali!!!!Written June 3, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Necator NJanga, PE182 contributionsWhat an eyesore! A monument to harassment of dolphins by motorboats filled with people who truly don’t care about nature.Written October 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alvina L2 contributionsI just really wished I had met Agus earlier! I was recommended by a friend and when we met for the first time, it's as if we have known each other!
We had spent only less than a day together, maybe only 4 hours of interaction or less. But he is so impressionable and made us felt so comfortable like he's an old friend <3
He brought us from Lovina, Aling-aling, Shanti Villa (for lunch with an amazing view), Twin Lake and Munduk. He never hesitates to share when I asked for his advice.
Energy does not lie. Agus is not just a driver but a Bali gem where one truly feels how Balinese people are (on top of the already friendly local people around). :))))))))Written February 20, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Communication was easy. Price paid for the 7 hour round trip drive from port to munduk highlands was well worth it.
