It was hard to pick from the variety. The view was spectacular in the fall and the air was clean and fresh. - caffeinatedintrovert184 contributionsA small but growing zoo that is continuously being developed. They were building a new area when we were there.
The animals include big cats: (lion, Siberian tiger, Canadian lynx), reptiles, savannah animals, wild and domestic Hungarian animals and many other.
You can buy food package for some of the animals (they have a stamp on their description plate if it is safe for them to eat), and you can feed them, which is fun for kids and adults alike.
They are dedicated to raising big cat cubs (last time it was lion cubs) and also to raising awareness. When they have cubs, there is a time window when you can pet the cubs, but they remove them when the cubs get tired.Written August 28, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Good free maps of Gyongyos and Matrafured handed out.
Note all interaction done in Hungarian, so I've no idea if she spoke English.Written September 16, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Some of this church goes back 1000 years, as does the village .It is the most fascinating church I gave ever seen and that's saying something.
But the whole village is fascinating, a real pearl, like it's name suggests. The little bridge, the art gallery, manned by the artist, so fascinating to talk to, the wineries, old wine cellars, amazing wines and palinka, try Vendeghaz, Boraszat, (Arany Janos utca 8). Truly memorable in wonderful countryside.Written December 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
