- Туристично-інформаційний центр ДрогобичаDrohobych, Ukraine10 contributionsErected in 1865, the Great Choral Synagogue is situated in the easten corner of the former Juwish quater of Lan and was considered to be the largest one in Easten Europe at that time.
During Soviet occupation the Synagogue was converted into the warehouse for salt. Then, a furniture store was developed in its premises.

You can also walk up the steps to the first floor gallery. You cannot get inside. There is a whole in the wall to see a glimpse inside though, not much. The true church is not like ice cream that comes in various forms and flavours. You can't pick your favourite “church”, and when you tire of it try a different one. The interior shows a high-rise disclosure of the interior church space, as the roofs are open in shape. The tempera mural in the interior is of different periods - the oldest, from the early seventeenth century by the master Hryhorii (?), is preserved along the perimeter of the edges of the altar part.
