- Denese RStockbridge, GA513 contributionsThis place is visually and intellectually stunning. We actually arrived before they opened, and one of their awesome team, Noe Vargas, came forward to welcome us. He introduced us to the Director, Jean Louis Lacaille Muzquiz. The two of them took us on a detailed tour of the facility, which includes no less than three museums. The architecture, the detail, and the bio/ecological study here is beyond what I've seen in major cities such as Atlanta. The centerpiece is a beautifully tiled cistern, and the ambient flora acts as an accent to the magnificent buildings nestled against the mountain. We were lucky enough to meet the year old rescue - a jaguar cub named Cie. I didn't want to leave...Written April 7, 2011This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- javierdelmoralGuadalajara, Mexico75 contributionsGreat old building. If maintenance were provided it would be spectacular. A guide explains all about it. It is free. It has a small museum which charges but is cheap.Written July 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

The shops are unique and the people are very friendly. El Rancho is a great place to eat but lots of street food vendors as well. Go! Satisfy your curiosity and enjoy, I'm sure you will have a good time.Written August 16, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Scott FGBrownsville, TX12 contributionsVery interesting museum housed in an historic fort which was used during the bombardment of Ft. Texas (now Ft. Brown) during the US-Mexican War. It is interesting to see historical war exhibits from an opposite perspective. This museum also has a genealogical wing that has information on family lines of northern Mexico and south Texas.Written September 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jose J13 contributionsWhat a beautiful gem this museum is!!! Extraordinary collection of cars, most of them in pristine condition. I loved the description given for each of the vehicles, especially the details given relating many of them to Tampico or Mexico, with links to Humphrey Bogart (from the Treasure of the Sierra Madre) and Pancho Villa that I didn’t know. The restaurant in the top floor has delicious food and awesome views of the city. The attention given by all the personnel was first class. This museum is a must for all Tampico visitors. Congratulations to everybody involved in this project!Written May 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sebastian3 contributionsThis church is in a very good condition considering how old it is. I really liked the fact that this church has a statue of the virgin outside of the cathedral and you can be a witness of the offerings that people leave there with gratitude and faith.Written January 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
