Did the Canadian Food Discovery tour with my boyfriend, and it was a lot of fun. We're both locals, but we learned a lot of history and fun facts about the city from Jason. He was very knowledgable and knew all the best spots to visit!

Incredible evening at St Lawrence Market with Chef Scott. Magnificently planned evening with a fantastic menu along with a guided tour of St Lawrence Market. Each and every staff member made us feel at home. it was a wonderful dinner party with about 60 people. Learned some new facts about the history of the Market and Toronto. Highly recommended.

The Second City staying in Toronto was the direct result of the investment of Sam Shopsowitz and Mitchell Gold. James Patry partnered with me and then stole it from me with the compliance of Andy Alexander. I have asked him to acknowledge my contribution by he refuses to do so - fearing I will sue him for what he had stolen from me. I have said that I just wanted recognition for what I did. He is a foolish man, keeping in the founding records James Patry - and ignoring me who brought James to the table. ANd James still owes money to me as well as he never completed his commitment. Unfortunately the lawyer who did the deal - George Ferguson QC never respected our agreement and signed a new one with Andrew not recognizing the fact that Moongold Productions Limited the corporate entity that replaced our agreement had no involvement of Mitchell Gold - he assumed Moongold was me and would not come to the table with the truth. shame.

We joined the Danforth tour today and were more than pleasantly surprised with the choice of venues, food and overall experience. Our guide Danny shared info about the area and history of each of the venues on the tour which was really interesting. I also liked that the tour wasn't in the more popular west end of the Danforth but in the lesser known east end. It gave us an opportunity to venture into some amazing spots we never would have tried otherwise. Food was wonderful and I just loved the plant based options available. Thanks for an amazing afternoon and will be booking another tour soon!!

We really liked the music , outstanding! The entrance staff polite and helpful . Burgers were praised by our Torontonian friends as: thick, delicious and home made.Mine was thick , looked homemade but lacked flavor,.. it was bland. Our waitress nice, but seemed a bit distracted hence she didn't show up with the box for to go after 30 minutes we asked her.Doesn't matter , great experience we would go back.

10 of us visited in November of 2021 (just before everything shut down again due to Covid) to celebrate my birthday. We were quickly greeted at the door but I took away a point as one had to pay cash for the cover charge which I was not told when I made the reservations and most of my friends only carry plastic which was irritating as many had to run to a bank machine. It is a cramped space but I knew this upon making the reservations and the food choice were quite limiting especially when I had one individual in the group who is gluten intolerant and another who is vegan but both did have at least once choice. Although limited choices, I found the food was delicious (I had the burger sliders and the mushroom toast) and the atmosphere is electric. The band was outstanding and everyone was up dancing again on the cramped dance floor. It was a crowded space but as we had a table we were just fine. We all had a fantastic night and I would definitely go back again and same as last time ensure I reserved a table as otherwise it would just be too crowded for me with barely standing room. I took off one point simply due to the cash only cover charge (when everything else inside you could pay with plastic and no mention of this) and the limited menu but other than that would be 5 stars.

This bar is a great place to get beers and listen to local bands. Definitely get there early if you want a place to sit or if you want to get a spot near the stage.

Every other month, two of my longest standing friends and I get together to catch up. We always try to go somewhere that’s a unique or a new experience! CHILL, Canada’s largest ice lounge, sounded like the almost perfect place (we ALL are always cold 🥶 lol) for our rendezvous!
The great thing about CHILL is it is two venues in one; a warm speakeasy called Gatsby’s Tale & the ice lounge itself!
We arrived and ordered 3 Martinis 🍸 to start. The bartender briefed us on the cold area. It was $10 each, for unlimited back and forth entry between the speakeasy and ice lounge which is kept at -5C. Insulated capes & gloves are available for extra warmth at no additional charge.
Food is not available in the ice lounge but light snacks are available to purchase in the warm area.
Now onto our frozen adventure! Martinis in hand we were ready to brave the cold! As luck would have it, we went at a slow time and had the entire lounge to ourselves! It was smaller inside than I had envisioned but had lots of cool things to keep us busy with fun photo ops. A shuffle board & beer pong table made of ice were part of our frigid fun! Being a slower evening, there was only one bartender working both the speakeasy bar & the ice bar but he would pop in to check on us every so often. (So we literally had the place to ourselves)! We ordered 3 more drinks while in the ice lounge which were served in glasses made of ice that you could smash in the garbage can once finished!
Back into the warmth we shared an app and had one last drink before venturing on with our night in Toronto!
If you’re looking for a unique experience CHILL is definitely worth checking out!

Stand up comedy can be hit or miss. The show I saw was a hit! It was one hilarious comedian after another. The acts could have been on much bigger comedy circuits. When I called to make reservations the lady who took my reservations was super nice and even remembered I called when I came in. I got an order of wings which were decent. Not the nicest looking place inside, very dated, but I guess that's what comedy clubs look like.

Fabulous atmosphere - feels like you are in a latino club back in the 50's with dinner and dancing. Waiting for Ricky Ricardo to show up...... The food was extremely good. (Jerk chicken was yummy but pretty spicy, calamari were perfect, crab cake was delicious and desserts were a hit at our table. 8 people all enjoyed their meal. Salsa dance lesson was great. DJ music was fun; the 12 pc band was FANTASTIC! Dance floor very crowded. Would be nicer to have a bit of room to dance. All in all, a very fun, entertaining evening. Waiters Julio and Lulu were both terrific! Mostly filled with under 40 year olds, but any age fit in.

Great selection of beers along with Ontario based spirits. Creative appetizers.
Space and sections within the venue that support special events and gatherings.

I am not from Toronto, but I eat dinner here seriously every time I am in town, and they make the best burger at any restaurant I’ve been to. The koreatown is my go-to! Can’t stress it enough: amazing burgers!! Not to mention, the beer selection is actually really great. There’s always something from one of my favourite breweries, like an Elora sour. Ugh, amazing! Thanks so much Tallboys. Always a fun and welcoming environment. Also — trivia nights!! So fun.

I've taken "free" walking tours in several dozen countries and would put this one at the top of the list. The guide (Adam) mentioned several times that we were "running long" but to be honest, I could have continued for hours -- it was THAT interesting. Being a bit of a history buff and a local resident, I was glad to see that Adam was not only knowledgeable and passionate but he gave a very accurate account of Toronto's history as opposed to some other tour operators who stretch and bend the truth to make a more compelling story. Whether you're a local or a visitor, I can think of no better way to spend a few hours in Toronto.
