We were lucky to arrive right when a ship was going through the lock so it was exciting to see the flooding and the release!
The museum and lacrosse hall of fame were also super interesting!!

This is one of our absolute favourite places in Niagara. We love everything about it. We are long time wine club members, and visit the property frequently. The staff are extremely friendly, the bakery good are delicious, the new art gallery is impressive, and the property as a whole is stunning. We recommend 13th Street Winery to all of our guests at our vacation property, who always send us their very positive impressions upon visiting. Highly recommend.

Took our grandkids. They loved it. Got to see some animals, walk down by the lake and then a great playground.

The Friends of Morningstar Mill run the place. They offer tours, and it’s free although donations are appreciated. You see the workings of a grain mill from the ground floor and then go down to the basement to see below. When it’s not COVID, the mill actually runs and produces flour for sale. This year, it’s not running but the tours were on, with limited hours. Best to call ahead to make sure they’re open. We also toured the family home, restored to circa 1935 furnishings. A nice place to have a family outing.

Gorgeous spot, with a short, but well maintained set of trails. Parking lot is a little small for the numbers of people who come here. Wish you could access the bottom of the ravine to get a better shot of the waterfall.

Great winery. The atmosphere is gorgeous here, with a super patio area and a beautifully laid out tasting area inside. We have eaten here once, and the food was very good, although not particularly big portions. The real strength of this winery is the quality of its’ wines, and across the spectrum. We will definitely return.

The beach is surprisingly big. The sand is a little bit on the rough side so wear proper footwear.
Watch out for bugs in the evening.
All in all a very nice and tranquil experience

Visited on July-24-2021 and was quite impressed with the beach. The bathroom was clean and also had change rooms and outside showers for washing off. There was paid parking $3 per hour and they had beach ambassadors that patrolled the beach to ensure people were obeying the rules ( no bbq, open fires, dogs on leash etc.).

The water is clear and I didn't see a lot of seaweed as some others have mentioned

There is also an designated sheltered area not far from the beach with benches where you can sit and have your meals.

Only con was that where we were located on the beach , under some trees , there were some tiny insects that fell off the trees when the wind blew, but nothing that led to us want to move locations

    Would definitely revisit

Hernder Estate Winery was a stop in the Wrapped up in the valley event recently in which they were pairing a beef sider on a brioche bun with creamy horseradish and their 2017 merlot. The beef slider was delicious and went very well with the wine. Hernder is a beautiful winery with a covered bridge.

Love the quiet in the middle of the city.
    The landscape the fall colors.
What a blessing. Whether you enjoy walking your dog, or simply relax for a bit this is the place I find to be a bit like heaven might be.
    Lunch break here I come!

I love the different options they have to offer, from cheese, jam, fruits, plants, Mexican food and even clothing

Great brewery and restaurant. The Oddbird part serves great food, just as the parent restaurant in downtown does. The beer, with a nice selection is great, and with a nice variety. More rotational would be a suggestion, but don’t tamper with your mainstays. We will definitely return.

We visited on a nice warm day, and the two lighthouses are great photo opportunities, and definitely worth a visit. The lighthouses are a part of the Port Dalhousie Heritage Conservation District, and there are many other heritage properties to explore while you are at it. Most of them are within walking distance, so park your car and enjoy.

This independent bookstore and cafe is owned and managed by two brothers and their Mom. We had a wonderful time browsing and the owner on duty was extremely knowledgeable and friendly…. Found what we wanted and was able to give advice about other new books, including very special children’s books.

There are also small gifts and useful notebooks, as well as a great selection of coffees and tests, and wonderful chairs to enjoy the browsing even more.

A lovely experience if you’re in the Port and Marina area

I like the Lester B Pearson Park.

    It has beautiful flowers.

    This park is 100 years.

Kids play with the Splash Pad

We walked at the trees. They are amazing.

There are sports as well: High lights.

    They do football.

    They have baseball.

    There is parking.
