Fantastic place for small children, with a lovely park and beach close by. This is a great place for a day trip for everyone in the family.

A nicely done museum. Clearly explained exhibits trace the evolution of the Welland Canal through four iterations over 200 years. Volunteer guides are available on the observation deck as ships pass through Lock 3. Ours was well informed and happy to answer an abundance of questions.

A great winery, bakery and art gallery. We had their sparkling the night before and decided to drive over and try and buy more. The tasting room was very helpful. We bought a variety of their sparkling wines. I wish I had known that they have really wonderful food options there versus where we stopped on the drive. Their baked goods looked phenomenal! We toured the sculpture garden and gallery. This is a really well done all encompassing winery. They have something for everyone and really beautiful views. We highly recommend going there!

Sadly, they do not allow any petting of the animals. They also do not allow feeding of the animals (they do not sell animal feed except for the ducks)

lakeside park - so many memories:
willows in the breeze, drinking by lighthouse, smoking on the pier, shining stars on summer nights and barefoot freedom. Worth a stop just to walk and see it. Glad we made the short drive from QEW to see this.

Parking is a little rough as the parking lot is small. The falls were a nightmare to get to as the climb down was insanely slippery. The falls are nice for sure but after I had to climb up the hill to get back out and that was dangerous also due to the mud, leaves and loose rocks. Honestly pretty dangerous to go off trail there. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were people that get trapped down there or get hurt descending or ascending that hill.

Great spot, nice sized beach and fairly clean. Nice view at sunset, hence the name. Very different than the beach in Port Dalhousie, being very low key, without the restaurants, bars and other touristy attractions. It is nice being next to the canal entrance/exit, if you're into watching for ships. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking to relax in a fairly low key environment.

We visited this market on a Saturday morning just before we began our long trip home. We were able to park free on the premises.
The place features an indoor section as well as a small outdoor section.
There are different vendors (no resellers) with fresh local produce, tasty foods, flowers, and an assortment of hand made goods.
Food wise, you can find somosas, empanadas, as well as Mennonite breakfast sandwich, and what we bought for the road: panini with an assortment of cold cuts, cheese and lettuce with spicy sauce that when we ate them on the road turned out to be simply filling and delicious.

This mill was built in 1872 and is one of the few mills in Ontario that houses all its original equipment and still operates its millstones using waterpower. Depew Falls is right behind the mill. There is also a restored mill keeper’s homestead, also. This is well worth visiting, and admission is by donation.

This is my favourite winery in the Niagara region! The estate is beautiful, and the wines are delightful. I highly recommend the Baco Noir and their icewine. I always get the wine sampler when I visit, and enjoy their tasty fresh popcorn on their comfortable patio.

Lastly, the staff are wonderful. The ladies at the front are incredibly knowledgable, kind, and hospitable. I always feel welcome whenever I visit, and have learned a lot about wine from them. Thank you for providing a wonderful experience whenever I bring friends to the Niagara region.

Lovely spot to take a walk with a lighthouse at the end of the pier, freshwater salmon and locals fishing, migratory birds and a spectacular view of the sunset to the west. Really enjoyed the Lakeside Beach a few kilometers to the west of the lighthouse locations.

This is the Royal Henley Park.

This is were they rowing. Everybody here like that.

We can walk and enjoy the bodies of water.

    There is a Martin Pond

    There are benches to sit!

There is a small bridge and a long one.

On the long beach, we can go on the other side.

    A must see!
