Middle Head Trail Ingonish

The views of the cliffs, the rocks, the ocean, and the coast north and south of the peninsula are beautiful and well worth the hike, and at the end of the trail is one of the Park’s famous red Adirondack chairs.
I definitely think this is a must do trail if you are in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, especially if you're staying in the Ingonish area and most definitely if you happen to be staying at the Keltic Lodge.

Beautiful visit with nature and can see the town of Louisbourg and Fortress Louisbourg in the distance.
It runs from the Louisbourg Lighthouse car park, along the coast, with a loop at the end next to a cove's beach.

There are around 5 parks and one of them may block other hikers' vehicles in and interrupt your/their hike.

I absolutely adored this trail and the lookout point at the very middle of the trail is a must...especially if you're hunting for the red chairs hidden throughout the park ; )
There are lots of hikes in the National Park, and this one was close, so we decided to give it a try. it is a 8.5 km loop, with one part through a valley alongside a bubbling brook.

The Cape Breton Highlands National Park Coastal Trail 11.3 km RT (7 miles) can be hiked from the Black Brook Beach end or the Neil's Harbour end.
Pull off the Cabot Trail at Black Brook Beach, and park at the trail heads.

This trail is location within Cape Breton Highlands National Park, so you will have to pay to get into the park.

Battery Park itself is a wonderful place for picnics, watching the sun set, tour the park with guides and stay for the night at the famous campground.

Visited this beach on Auguest this year.Nice sandy beach,no big sea action and very warm water.This beach also has a very nice camping and trailer park adjacent and located just 5 minutes from Cheticamp village.
