We spent a very enjoyable afternoon here looking over the vineyard and production operations but mostly enjoyed our lunch in the restaurant overlooking the sloping vineyard with the ocean and cliffs as a backdrop.

Great views of Grande Pre National Park, nicely landscaped grounds, a cool rustic bistro and great wines such as Haskap and some of the best Red Wines to be found in the Annapolis Valley.
Their ripe grapes sparkled in the sun like amber - so lovely... Very welcoming and knowledgeable staff and try their reds too - very good!

The view out there is fabulous -- the equal of many we've seen in Tuscany, with vineyards & farms & rolling hills.
Sitting on the peaceful patio with a glass of wine, overlooking the vines and the valley, is what being on vacation is all about.

But it’s usually all about the tastings when you visit a winery, and in such a beautiful backdrop there’s a functional, spacious visitors centre where you can sample the current wines on offer.
The patio was our choice though, and on this very warm day we thoroughly enjoyed gazing at the vines while sipping some of the best wine in Canada.
Petite Riviere Vineyards Crousetown

We left with our cider, several bottles of wine and they even managed to get my anti-red wine husband to admit that he even enjoyed the red when paired with chocolate :) Perfect end to a perfect day.

The wines there are amazing, all of them, and our hosts at the tastings were so friendly and helpful, took all the time we needed to explain the different grapes used for the wines and the whole process.
We were introduced to a range of fabulous sparkling wines including the vintage and also the unique magnum 16 petillant naturel.

Grand Pre Wines Wolfville

She was enthusiastic and engaging while explaining how the wines are made, especially when explaining how much work and care goes into creating the true Tidal Bay wine that must pass extensive testing.
While the Luckett Vineyard was the most beautiful of all those we toured the Gran Pre had the absolute best wines and they were half the price of some of the other wineries we toured.

Lunenburg County Winery Newburne

They have around ten acres of high bush blueberries and there were only a couple of other people picking during the Friday we were there.
It was only us at the winery when we were there, so it was nice to taste and ask questions on a 1-1 basis.
