One of the highlights of visiting the Blockhouse is that you are able to take advantage of a beautiful view and if you visit during low tide you can walk quite far out onto the beach.

I think it was more fun that way because everything was an aha! moment, including the FDR summer home, the tea with Eleanor Roosevelt presentation, the lighthouse and the site seeing!
The views, the lighthouses and the beautiful flowers and trees make this a must see.
