- DisneyDarwinSpring, TX1,110 contributionsWe hiked to South Beach, right beside the visitor center. The building and views all around are wonderful, so I can only imagine hanging out on their porch would be grand. We enjoyed a brief ranger talk in the parking lot, and hope they can renovate and return this unit to service.Written June 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BkbakTempe, AZ1,353 contributionsIt's wonderful to have a Visitor's Center in the center of a downtown heavily visited area! There are lots of brochures one can pick up. Some even have coupons in them. The staff attempted to make ticket purchases for us for the BC Museum at a discount but the two systems aren't compatible so it ended up wasting our time. It is currently closed two days of the week of which I don't know if it's because of COVID or not. Seems like it should be open every day.Written October 23, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- John PChicago, IL124 contributionsThough we have been coming to the Parksville area for years, we always make a point of stopping in at the Visitor Centre for the latest information. In a park-like setting with ample parking and adjacent to the Parksville museum, the Centre is a bright space that contains materials on lodging, dining, attractions, and entertainment as well as maps and a small selection of area related gifts. As any traveller is aware, the most important aspect of any visitor center is the personnel. When we last stopped by in late May, the young woman behind the counter couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. If you are new to the area, or know your way around but would like the latest information, a stop at the Parksville Centre is a must.Written May 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Debbie CBristol, UK74 contributionsMy husband & I are from England and we visited the centre in Chemainus just a few days ago as we wanted to know where to go & what to see in the area. I cannot highly recommend enough Melody Smythies & Michaela who were both very friendly & helpful on so many levels. They gave us the information & maps we needed for things to see and places to eat. We thoroughly loved seeing the Chemainus Murals located all around the town. Thanks, ladies, for giving us a great start to our North America trip!Written May 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
