- RobSt. George, UT16 contributionsWe had a great time walking through the forest and feeling alone in nature. There are several trails that seem to go nowhere but you will get to a spot to get your bearings. We loved walking through here and feeling like we were alone in a forest. You can hop on and off the seawall trail from the park and there are many good viewing areas. Great for a family experience.Written October 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Morgan530 contributionsWe were impressed by the range of stalls and shops including local independent artists selling ceramics, jewellery and other goods. - Jacqueline RCork, Ireland654 contributionsArrived mid morning to find plenty of parking spaces available quite near the entrance. Staff were directing cars to specific areas in order, very well managed.
We truly enjoyed our day here. The array of colours was amazing. My favourite areas were the Japanese Gardens and the water feature.
Some of the signposting seemed to be causing difficulty for a number of elderly visitors, particularly around the Rose Garden where it was very crowded.
It was wonderful to be able to wander the meandering paths at your own pace and take the time to appreciate everything.

The walk across the bridge is good fun as it wobbles around...hang on for the ride. The tree top walks are fascinating and very well set up and the skywalk is well worth it. Whilst the crowds were pretty low when I was there, the signs are evident that it can get very busy with long waits to buy tickets and actually get a spot on the bridge itself. Good food and drink options available.Written August 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CSNBristol, UK458 contributionsThe Aquarium wasn’t top of our list but it was great for a rainy morning activity with an Uber from our hotel. We really enjoyed the whole experience as two adults, my other half says it’s the best aquarium he has been to which is high praise. Lots to see, read and learn. Beautiful fishes and animals.Written September 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- suryfam3Chicago, IL27 contributionsEven though the summer blooming season has passed, it is still a lovely walk. - Jane C3 contributionsVictoria is a lovely, walkable city with restaurants and shopping near the Inner Harbor. We stayed at the Embassy Inn which was a one block walk from the harbor and offered a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.Written September 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Wdwphd57Jacksonville, FL43 contributionsThe lake view is incredible. We had a window view with a wood-burning fireplace. The buildings are old but clean. Parking and shuttles were not a problem. The staff was always there to take us back and forth to our car. There were a lot of steep steps to our room, which made it difficult to carry heavy bags to our room. Be sure to ask staff to carry heavy bags to your room unless you are physically fit. The restaurant has a limited menu, but we were able to find vegan entrees. Breakfast was a standard buffet of eggs, potatoes, meats, and pastries. There's a strict dinner reservation policy for the restaurant. You need to have a reservation to get seated. A cafe off to the side serves the same menu, but seating is limited.Written October 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jennifer BIdaho806 contributionsLarge, beautiful park. There are so many areas to explore with different gardens and landscaping. I wish we had more time to go back when in Victoria. It is also nice how close it is to the ocean path.Written October 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rebecca dOxfordshire, UK67 contributionsWe went with our two young teenage sons on a very cloudy Sunday. Even at lunch time the cloud was still hanging in the air and blocking the visibility from the top. But we had a brilliant time.
Enjoyed seeing the bears, the raptor show and the lumberjacks of course.
We booked the Adventure Ropes course once up the mountain- be aware that if you do this, the time available is likely to be later in the day - so you’ll need to be happy to wait. Our boys were, so no problem - we enjoyed some lunch and braving the chair lift to the top in the clouds to help pass the time.
I have to admit- the adventure ropes course was definitely worth the money. Initially we had thought at about $60 for each of our sons it was a expensive when added to the Skyride access - but actually, once we experienced what it was, we totally see the value and worth.
Their guide was Isaac - and he alone was worth every penny. A thorough and well humoured safety briefing, with a great practical and demo too - all of which were great for my youngest teen (who is high functioning autistic - so this is particularly important for him).
The boys then went for it on the Green course and loved it, before progressing to the Blue. One came down half way with his nerves reaching their peak by that point - whilst the eldest continued to complete the full course.
And this is where Isaac is worth every penny of that entrance fee. Not only were they both safe the entire time, and knew just how to deal with our youngest loss of confidence at the crucial moment, but once they were down, he the encouraged our eldest (the adventure seeker) by confirming that he could take on the Black course, whilst also encouraging the younger one (loss of nerves) to go and have fun on the Yellow (the easiest). They both went for it and what could easily have been a sad end to the day, turned into their best day ever - for both of them. A huge sense of achievement for the eldest and a reminder of the fun for the youngest - a great memory for the end of the day at Grouse.
The fact that there are four routes to make your way through is brilliant value for money.
And by the time we’d finished, the cloud had lifted and we enjoyed the ride back down with a view. Perfect ending to the the day.
We’d definitely recommend it.Written August 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sondra M3 contributionsThe views are incredible and this is the best place to mountain bike - probably in the world. a MUST for anyone who bikes, wants too, or excels at it. They've all levels and the guides were excellent!
Lines are long, but they do move quickly, and it's worth the wait.
My issue was with the management company. The signs are super confusing, the people at the desks - while totally nice and kind - were not clear on our reservations - and I had to essentially get in three lines to get everything taken care of for our group of 8. They are not flexible at all, but when we made online reservations as a group, it made it seem like everything would be easy and well taken care of. It was a hot mess for busy CEOs who had everything pre-arranged to have to handle this. I guess my learning is to not book ahead? I'm not sure. The overall experience they had was fine though, thanks to my being on site and handling all of the messiness of checking in,Written October 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RichVirg2014Hamilton, New Zealand27 contributionsWhat a fantastic experience and the views once you get to the top are amazing. We booked online so saved time and money. I am from Aoteroa New Zealand and have framed the gondola ride as "Queenstown on steroids." Our kiwi mate who lives in BC took us to the Sea to Sky Gondole experience becase he thought it was vorth the visit. We were not disappointed. - vlr49Ipswich, UK62 contributionsUsed our transport day pass to get the metro, waterbus and bus to the canyon. Long walk from the bus stop. Scary suspension bridge, but lovely walks through the woods. Many people in the pools in the river. As a free visit, it was certainly worth it. The cafe was another example of places in Canada which do not take cash. Why should foreign visitors have to pay exchange rates and credit card fees on top of the cost of the items?Written September 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
