Very beautiful grounds but lots of construction going on! Some things were blocked off but it will be nice when it is all done. My biggest complaint was...on a Saturday...strolling through the grounds sipping a coffee...needed a bathroom! Nowhere to be found! Nothing was open! Had to leave the grounds earlier than planned as we all needed the facilities!

Pretty cool building, under some construction currently. Parking nearby can be a challenge and quite costly. If attending conference marriot courtyard is directly next door

The amazing, film."Our Land, Our People" will take you on an incredible journey, back in time. This film and the Interpretive Centre is a work of art. Very creative, beautifully done. No matter what your age, the Visitor's Centre will capture your interest.

We went to the expo center for the GLOW. The expo center itself is great plenty of walking, washrooms and food vendors. LRT stops near so you can hop on.

The library is currently (2017) under renovation. They have wonderful plans for expanded learning coming with the completion.

This is an unexpected treasure. This is a big brick school building tucked away on a rather ordinary street. This building is just loaded with a pictorial history of the establishment and growth of the Edmonton public schools. Three floors of history including several classrooms that are set up as they were "in-the-day."

In the hallways, pictures are grouped in themes (graduates who went on to serve in the military, the Boys' Band, graduation requirements, inclusiveness, and so on.) The pictures are all illustrative and they all have written commentary that speaks to the topic.

At one point, the top floor of the building was housed the Alberta legislature and they have re-created that room.

They do have some odd, somewhat disquieting dummies placed in some of the classrooms.

There were very few people in this building when we were there. It did look like a few of the rooms were current offices and there were a couple of people who looked like they might be working, but no one greeted us or otherwise interacted with us during the entire time we were wandering around the building.

I found this to have been well worth my limited time in Edmonton. It is unfortunate that I would not have considered going there if it hadn't been raining.

Night and day from outside to inside. Beautiful architecture and design. Son played piano and we walked around to gather courage to go back outside.

One of the best venues in Edmonton and my personal favourite. It has created and nurtured an incredible arts community, all together for the love of music and art. The venue itself is quite uniquely laid out which adds to the charm of SMF, another huge part of what makes this venue great is the incredibly welcoming staff. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to take in some live music/entertainment.

I used to have to go here for work to look at directories or old air photos. Today I went to look through their historical photo archives. Although I didn't find any family members we did find a very historical living individual. See my photo. The absolutely amazing staff helped print the photo for him to sign as well. They helped with showing me photo catalogue too!

We tried to stop in to use the restrooms, but they were closed. It was a Thursday afternoon, so not sure what was up with that. Would try again the next time we go that way. Looked like a well maintained area.

Building ok, services are very weak, very few restaurants, staff not very educated about the facilities, trade shows not growing there. Poor publicity, washrooms use cheapest toilet paper available in the world, needs a lot of improvement.
