Nice place to visit and walk around and see many nice pieces of artwork. Especially loved the woodwork. There are many artists here to see and beautiful things. No air conditioning and was very hot inside. The restaurants are great for lunch.

Exim Gallery in San Miguel de Allende is a contemporary haven, blending local Mexican artistic talent in a minimalist space conveniently located on Hidalgo Street near El Jardin. The gallery primarily features emerging artists using contemporary materials such as acrylic, plaster, and clay busting with color and creativity. The prices are much more reasonable than other galleries in San Miguel without having to sacrifice quality and uniqueness. The staff is engaging and friendly. I personally work with Jorge Suarez who has provided excellent, informative, and attentive service. In a city renowned for its artistic heritage, Exim Gallery stands out as a beacon of artistic value and modern expression, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant tapestry of San Miguel de Allende's art scene. I have personally purchased multiple pieces from Exim Gallery and will continue to do so.

Beautiful, tree-filled park in the central square of San Miguel. Our hotel was just around the corner from this park and we strolled through there most nights as it was always lively and welcoming. Mariachi bands, families, tourists, a nice mix.

Wonderful experience and very educational. We were guided by an actual archeologist and shaman which truly made the experience surreal.

A beautiful park, filled with pathways to walk and benches to relax. Lots of plants and greenery, as well as several vendors and artists with very colorful and unique works... Worth a visit, day or night.. I felt completely safe doing my power walk in the cool night air.

Whether you know a lot about masks or nothing, this is a fascinating place. Bill's enthusiasm, interest and knowledge about indigenous Mexican masks is palpable. This is his collection, amassed over a couple decades or more, and it's fascinating to hear his stories of their origin, use, and meaning. (He lectures internationally, has published a book on the subject and is happy to answer questions). The museum also includes several videos of festivals and dances that incorporate masks.

There is also a separate gallery above the museum with dozens of masks, available to browse or potentially purchase. If you're not staying in the adjacent Inn, it's also worth walking through it to see even more masks (and other art) beautifully displayed.

There's a reason they call this the Sistine Chapel of Mexico and the history is as interesting as the paintings. It is still a place of worship for the Mexicans, many or whom travel to visit here. Sundays are especially crowded both at the Santurario and in the small village with vendor stands set up on both sides of the Main Street.
