- Vincent C4 contributionsWe had a great experience with Secretoo and the booking of our two amazing excursions near Tulum, Mexico. Marina was our guide for the snorkeling. She cared a lot about our wellbeing and our safety and made it a priority the whole afternoon. She was also knowledgeable on the coral reef and all the marine life we saw, and I really appreciated her generosity and kindness. We also had great guides visiting the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. They were both so warm and kind and both spoke English and French. They reminded us of the importance of protecting and respecting the wildlife. I highly recommend Secretoo as your planner for all excursions in Quintana Roo. They were organized, communicative and always quick to answer any questions we had. Merci Secretoo!

Coba & Tulum he was so full of deep understanding of Mayan culture beliefs and history! Our guide(s) were fabulous, the trip was full of laughter and education of the local area. They went above and beyond and dropped us off at their favorite taco spot as well. The experience was very accommodating for a large group.
Highly recommend. It was the gem of of trip.Written January 6, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Riding bikes through ancient ruins was a unique and immersive way to explore the history, and zip-lining through the jungle added an adrenaline rush we won’t forget. Seeing howler monkeys up close was a surreal moment, and swimming in the cenote was the perfect way to cool off.
Jessica was an outstanding guide—her passion and deep knowledge of Mayan history made everything come to life. She kept us engaged the entire time, answering all our questions with enthusiasm and making the experience even more special. If you’re looking for an adventure that combines history, nature, and excitement, this is it. Virginia was very prompt in responding to my initial inquiry and later to my questions. This was a great package provided Door to Door transport from our beach casitas. It included a private guided tour (shout out to Roxey our guide, she is very cool) of the Tulum ruins right when the site opened before the crowds and heat. It included a private guided snorkeling experience in a beautiful cenote with awesome stalactites and stalagmites. Awesome being in the cenotes with just our group. We all got wet suits. Great idea. it made the cenote snorkel must more enjoyable. Then we went snorkeling in Soliman Bay and that was great fun. We topped the day off with a great Mexican lunch at Oscar y Lalo's, also owned by Virginia. Great day, great experience, very nice people, very fair price.Written April 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aaron5 contributionsFly fishing Tulum guides are absolutely excellent! We have had huge success both times I have been with this group. One trip with them wasn’t enough. Fished with guide Roscendo both times and he and his other guides are real pros. Caught tarpon, permit, bonefish, snook, and other species. The guides know their stuff and are so professional and friendly. They are so happy to help you learn and teach. They know the flats well and have never had trouble finding fish when I have been with them, even in less than ideal weather. They speak English well and enjoy being out with you showing you the ropes. Lunches provided by the chef at the Fisherman’s lodge in Punta Allen were filling and delicious. This is an all around great group of guys that love the flats and showing people the amazing and beautiful fishery that is Ascension Bay. My wife tagged along and had tons of fun seeing all the awesome wildlife and seeing such an amazing place. I would 100% recommend these guides if you are looking for a fly fishing trip of a lifetime.Written January 3, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrea BCalgary, Canada42 contributionsI am so happy I found Flavia and Freedive Mexico to start me off on my freediving journey! I contacted many people and immediately felt good about Flavia. I committed right away, and about a month later I flew to Tulum to meet her and begin the AIDA course.
Flavia made me feel very comfortable, even when I was terrified and struggling with my static breath hold.
There was only 3 of us training with her which made it feel a lot more intimate and hands on- I feel like this is important considering how you are training your mind and your body to dive deep & at length, it’s more of a mental practise than anything.
I’ve since continued my freediving journey elsewhere and can say with complete honesty and confidence that what I learned from Flavia and Freedive Mexico has really helped me on this journey and I was even able to help others with certain tips and tricks she instilled in me for both depth practise and apnea.
Months later, when I was doing my AIDA 3 Flavia was just a text message away and was quick to respond to help me out with some administrative issues with the new school. She also gave me advice and helped me choose how to continue my freediving journey and I’m so glad she did. I’m confident that in the future if I did have any questions or was struggling with something she would be there for me right away.
I would highly recommend Flavia if you are just starting out, want to continue the journey or just want to have some fun dives while in Tulum. I can’t say enough good things about her and the sport! :)

Our tour guide Jessica was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and made the experience great. She was very understanding of my recent surgery and took her time with us and didn't rush me, which I really appreciated. Both sites were very interesting, but we all agreed that Coba was our favorite. We randomly found Kay Tours in a mention on Facebook through our resort page. We were so glad that we trusted our instincts and booked it. Thank you Jessica and Kay Tours for a terrific day! The Santana Family appreciate you!Written January 3, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
