- Aimee L3 contributionsWe went as a group of 6 and had a great time! Alfredo was our cave guide and he was awesome!! He was very informative and answered all our questions, was funny and good natured. Genaro was our cenote guide and while quieter he was still great!
I highly recommend this tour and swimming in the cenote.
Tips: you will have to be very hunched down and walking in some parts of the cave. If you have knee problems, this could be a no go for you.Written January 29, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not great changing facilities so ideal is to go in your swimming things. Locker was 30 pesos so not bad at all. Would defo go back another time when I’m next in the area.Written February 1, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Titannia99Creston, Canada475 contributionsHad a great morning snorkeling here. Many different fish and clear, calm water. Recommend it for all levels as it is easy to find schools of fish and is a protected lagoon.Written January 22, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - German AGuadalajara, Mexico8 contributionsGreat relaxing experience. We spent a couple of hours just swimming and taking some nice pictures. You cannot apply sunscreen on site so be careful about sunburn. There are no dinning options, just some sodas, beer and coconuts.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - filmdreamerSedona, AZ78 contributionsI am a swimmer and lover of nature so each new place is a gift. This was my 4th cenote( trying to get to a dozen or so in a month trip) on this first trip to the Yucatan.I have a rental car. I had my own snorkel mask and swam the whole thing. There are a lot of divers near the entrance and no one at all in the back, so i had some time to myself at the back. Not a ton of fish but small striped ones feeding on the mangrove roots were pretty and unique to see. a few birds..didnt see the crocodile. I am glad I went but I would agree with the other reviewers the staff was not a happy or pleasant group. They had the "we hate tourists" vibe for sure. I also did leave my keys with them, but would not have done so if i read the other reviews first. Nothing was taken. PS. favorite cenote so far is the lagoon cenote you can walk to from Grand Sirenis on the shore. its free but may be hard to get to if you arent staying at GS.Written February 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MountainMamaUnited States29 contributionsAny of the homes/hotels on this small stretch of beach are fantastic if you’re looking for a quiet safe laid back vibe. It was perfect as a home base for our family for a week and a half, lots of food options within walking distance, very safe and very mellow. If you’re looking for a place to party and is super touristy this isn’t it but if you’re looking for a quiet chill beach spot and are normally in bed by 9 this is the perfect spot.Written March 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - pro golferGloucestershire, UK43 contributionsReally good snorkelling and clear water. We saw lots of turtles (we went in early march). They were very nice and healthy. There were also lots of other sealife; we saw sting rays, massive silver fish, pufferfish. You have to pay for a guide (ÂŁ26 each). There were also deposit lockers , and changing rooms and shower. Very good recommend. đź‘ŤWritten April 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ziggy_campMemphis, TN599 contributionsWent here on a hot afternoon, and it was a perfect way to cool down. A lot less crowded than I expected, which allowed us to get amazing photos! Beer and snacks were available but extremely expensive. The cabs up charge for the ride back.Written June 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Joanne ASpokane, WA202 contributionsI have found that I've often been disappointed when trying some new spots, based on reviews. However, Vesica lives up to every positive review that I read. FYI, I don't think any of the photos accurately relay how great this place is when you're there. The service, staff, ambiance, food, and the background music were all outstanding. We spent the entire day there relaxing and we enjoyed every minute of it. We had an hour relaxing massage with Miriam and Johnathon and both therapists were absolutely outstanding and I do a lot of massage :). I live in Tulum, but this was my first visit. I immediately made reservations for my daughter and me for when she comes to visit from Washington state in a couple weeks. They have a terrific spa package that's a great deal and I did not see it on line, so ask about it when there, if you don't see it. Sabrina, and especially Josefina at the reception desk were awesome and super helpful. Myra waited on us and she was also so helpful and friendly. Staff are knowledgeable and efficient! The food was terrific and at different times during the day they brought around some complementary Hors d'Oeuvres and a juice that was delicious too. I can't wait to go back with my daughter. She will love it.Written February 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- actontravellerActon15 contributionsWe were looking for a more naturalistic cenote experience and Cenote Aktun Bej did not disappoint! Starting with a hike through a pretty jungle path with a peak down into the “pozo” which was how they discovered this magical cenote, we put on helmets with lights and shimmied through a rather long narrow cave tunnel, admiring the statlactites along the way and peeking at a few cave bats. We arrived at a huge underground cavern, full of fresh blue water which was just the right temperature. The magic of the light shining down from the pozo in the high ceiling into the cenote cave below, shimmering off the stalactite walls was undescribable. You just have to see it yourself!Written January 5, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tra Day HolidayDallas, TX201 contributionsGo in the morning .General hours are 9a-5p. Prices are generally $25 USD per person or 450 pesos per person. Most prefer cash . There are lockers . We brought our own mask and did not see any snorkel equipment unless a tour provided and most go in the morning . Don’t wait til 3p to book although they stay open til 5p .Written January 11, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 2007cboydDublin, Ireland78 contributionsWe cycled here from Tulum town which was quite a long cycle but very straight and flat along the main road. The roads have wide hard shoulders that act as cycle lanes. The entrance fee was 300 pesos.
This is the perfect place to come and balm out for a few hours. The cenote is lagoon like, rather than in a cave like others, and has a fun jumping platform too. There was a little restaurant and you must try the mango flowers with tajin!
At one point the restaurant owner came along with some old tortilla and threw it into the water, attracting a school of hungry fish and 4 turtles!Written October 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It has a huge spot where you can jump off of. There is another cenote you can go to after right across the street. The entrance fee is for both locations. Both were beautiful and worth a visit for a afternoon. They aren’t very busy either. You can either drive or bike from Tulum. If you bike 15 past there is another cenote that looks like a heart.Written August 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Samantha TLondon, UK8 contributionsMy husband and I visited this tranquil place, highly recommend it if you are looking for a peaceful morning or afternoon. Very cheap to access. We took the bus down there and it was easy to find. The wash areas and toilet are very basic but can’t complain with the price they charge. The owner was very friendly and enthusiastic about developing the area. Truly a beautiful place and a highlight to our visit to Mexico.Written October 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Noëlla BOntario, Canada3 contributionsThis experience was absolutely wonderful! Our tour guide Alan (shorter with long hair) was the BEST tour guide ever, we had such a perfect day, from start to finish! The food is amazing, the ziplining is SOO much fun and the Cenotes are absolutely beautiful! We recommend this excursion, we would 100% do it again!
