The crew on Samba 1 was fabulous and we truly felt we were in the care of experienced captain and crew. It was a lovely day, drinks were flowing, music was keeping everyone in a party mood. Snorkeling was fun and the stop at the island for lunch was a good time. The island was great and even grabbed a few nice souvenirs on our way back to the catamaran before leaving. It was a very hot day but so worth the trip! If you have the opportunity it’s a full and fun day on the ocean with a stellar crew! - hlnNantes, France6 contributionsIt starts with a nice chauffeur who goes out of his way to make sure you get on the shuttle. I was waiting in the hotel lobby instead of outside and he waited a bit more. Thank god, I would have hated to miss this tour.
At the marina, the staff is very friendly.
The tour itself is amazing, we were 8 on the boat and the operating diver made sure we were all comfortable and had our gear put on correctly. Once in the water, she would guide us and be very helpful. The five spots are all really nice, we saw a ton of fish and several turtles. Two spots are a bit crowded but that is to be expected and did not affect the great views we had. The experience was still amazing ! There was a photographer on board, you can purchase the pictures for an extra fee, but they’re so worth it!
If you want to snorkel, whether you’ve done it before or not, this is the one 🤿

The pick-up was on time, and the guide in the water was very informative and made my group feel safe the entire time. Afterwards, we had time to check out the little town and ate some tacos! - Adrea G1 contributionWe had originally booked 930. Our pickup time was 845. We changed to 12 and our pickup time was 1245 in my confirmation email. I called the day before and was reassured multiple times it was the correct time even though I thought it was wrong. We waited in the lobby from 1230 to 1250. 5 minutes after pickup time I called and they had in fact told us the wrong time and were unable to do anything except reschedule us for another day. We declined as we only had one day left here. - Jan S2 contributionsWe booked the tour last minute and it was a lot of fun. The owner Manuel was super friendly, Danny was our tour guide and was amazing. We didn’t get to go snorkelling due to the water being a bit choppy but we sure did enjoy the jet skiing. We went out from the lagoon and into the sea where we were able to swim. On the way back we stopped at a little island for about 20 minutes to enjoy the sun and just relax.
I would definitely recommend. - Jessica S2 contributionsThe Contoy experience was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Isla Mujeres was a cute and quaint little town. We had the opportunity to eat street tacos for only $4 made by the locals and go for a quick swim in the ocean. On the way to Isla Contoy, they gave us the opportunity to snorkel in the open ocean as well. The lunch was delicious and the beach was beautiful. - Bee M1 contributionThe beach was great. Clear water, the tour was awesome but, you must definitely take repellent for mosquitos. Otherwise, they'll eat you alive. NO KIDDING.
It's a virgin island so, no drinking water, no running water so the bathrooms were awful. They could find a way to have them clean somehow.
You're not allowed to take glass bottles but we saw some people from other tours with beer bottles so, yeah, maybe a little bit more control.
