Do not miss this gem of a museum! A beautiful building with amazing views of the botanical gardens and well-displayed artifacts.

Cute museum that is free to enter, well maintained and has some interesting exhibits. Most of all it feels like a little moment of respite in the city. There is a coffee shop in the pleasant courtyard, a nice swing and fun little chairs that entertained my children for a while. Definitely check it out!

Small Museum that took us about 20 minutes to explore. Most of the textiles were from Japan, and only a handful were from the Oaxaca region. Interesting how the hupil seems to have been influenced by the Japanese. It’s free, so why not take a few minutes and wonder!

A private collection this offers a variety of art including jewelery and clothes. Nothing is labeled so it's not possible to know the significance, but as there's no admission fee, this is well worth a visit.

I booked very late for my trip to Oaxaca and was so lucky to find the Larimer, since it had just recently opened at the hotel. I was immediately bowled over by the art in my room and the art throughout. Wow. Every detail of the rooms was carefully thought out; the shower was sheer bliss. The bed was very comfortable. The A/C worked perfectly. The location, near Santa Domino, was perfect. Dining options were all without 5-10 minutes.

But the most memorable part of my stay, for me, was Dulce, the owner and manager. She went above and beyond. I had tripped on night and had hurt my left wrist. She immediately helped me to get x-rays and to check in with me all the time after this event. I had mentioned that I left icy cold Diet Coke - and she arranged to bring some in to their kitchen.

The coffee in the mornings was fantastic. Dulce had arranged for a driver to and from the Larimer at a very affordable price. The rooftop patio had lovely views, and lovely service.

All in all, a fantastic experience

Loved this museum with all the ancient artifacts and history of Oaxaca.

Despite the map - the layout is hard to follow and is not well marked which was rather frustrating.

This little out of the way spot is well worth a visit if you've ever wondered where those brilliant red dyes come from. Here you can see the little bugs, minding their own business on the cactus where they live, before being crushed into one of the most valuable products Mexico gave to the world (after chocolate, corn and mescal of course).

Amazing 14 year generational artisanal gallery producing Oaxaca’s amazing Black Pottery. I bought several pieces and seriously wished I had purchased more.

The museum is defunct. There was a small exhibit of photographs of people who had worked on the railroad. There's a large play area for young kids and a very active program for students from local schools, but the "museum" of rail cars were all closed and the external signs had completely disintegrated.
