I booked this experience for my birthday and it was a great way to celebrate. I was picked up from my hotel by the tour guide and given lots of information about the ranch and what we would be doing that day. The tour guide Yunuen was very friendly and hospitable. When we arrived at the ranch as soon as I opened the car door I was welcomed by Yunuen’s two dogs, who were adorable.

As an inexperienced rider I was given very clear instructions, lessons and tips while riding. The horses were beautiful and well trained and it was very relaxing trotting on the trail. The lunch was delicious which included a perfectly cooked rib eye steak. I highly recommend this experience.

This is a LONG day from Mexico City. Our guide, Diana, and our driver, Yarida, made the trip enjoyable. Diana was very thoughtful in providing water and snacks, as well as a change robe for the open ladies changing room.

If you travel to Mexico and don't go on this tour then you are missing out! We used Amikool for our Tolantongo experience as well as our experiences with Xochimilco and Cuernavaca & Taxco.
Our Tour guides Luis, Elias, and Aaron were amazing! They gave us much insight in regards to the culture and history of Mexico. The tours are jam-packed with activities, it's not just what you pay for. I absolutely recommend AMIKOOL for your next experiences in Mexico city!
Big shoutout to Luis and Elias hopefully sometime I will see them again. They were so humble, funny, and just two great souls!

Seeing millions of migrating Monarchs congregated at the Sierra Chincua butterfly sanctuary during late February 2020 was, for my wife and I, an event of rare magnificence.

Our tour guides, Marta and Alonso, were delightful hosts, responsive to our requests and patient with our woeful lack of Spanish skills. The trip from and to Mexico City took 3.5 to 4 hours each way, so having friendly, knowledgable experts with whom to chat was much appreciated.

One caveat: As a 65-year-old coping with a foot issue, I found the hike up to see the butterflies quite strenuous. We rode horses about half the way up, then walked the rest of the way. That part was OK, but we skipped the horses on the way down, figuring that half of the journey would be less tiring. Somehow, though, we seemed to be climbing our way back down, too. Not sure how that worked, but we took a bunch of breaks to rest. I did a lot of research before we left trying to find out difficult the hiking would be, and it was more challenging than I had expected.

... but! We saw mllions of gorgeous butterflies and lived to tell the tales . If you are interested and in decent shape, you'll enjoy an unforgettable experience with some top-notch experts leading the way.

They picked us up in a nice new 3 row car to ourselves with snacks and water in the side doors. We drove an hour to the pyramids, got on the ATVs, rode around on a spot to learn about and drink some pulque, went to an underground burial cave site, then learned about some crafts and learned about culture. This part was only about 15 min and left educational, not like we were being hustled.

We rode back after a couple hours on the ATVs, hopped in the car, toured the pyramids with a private guide who took great pics. It also included a Mexican buffet lunch following the tour before heading back to CDMX.

Diana is amazing, articulate, friendly, and fun! She had all the answers (ie - how was Cortez able to take over with just a few men?). Would recommend for action oriented and history buffs alike

Very good excursion. The way is not that hard, but getting used to the hight can be challenging. Especially the guide Fabio made the tour nice, since he literally knew everything! Thanks.
Only annoying thing is the long drive and the - compared to that - short trekking. But ofc this cant be change if you go one day.

My two children ages 12 and 20 enjoyed such a wonderful visit to magical Mexico city. Our private guide, Diana, was super knowledgeable and friendly: she taught us so much about Mexican history and culture while also making it fun and interesting and showing us hidden details we would have missed without a guide. The three days we spent together gave us an excellent overview of Mexico City. Every meal was exceptional, and the kindness and excellent hospitality of the Mexican people warmed our hearts. It was a totally zero stress vacation for me, since Diana planned every detail, took care of tickets, etc., so I could just focus on family time. Thank you Vibe Adventures and Diana for making our trip so very merry and magical!

We booked just the Nevado de Toluca part to hike the volcano. The tour was promptly confirmed and we were picked up by guide and driver in a private car. Our guide Ed was wonderful and knowledgeable- introduced us to some local breakfast of polla and tamales on the journey there. Vibe tours also gave us a little care package with snacks and safety items like sanitizer and masks. Once we reached Toluca- alas the trail was closed due to weather and icy trails. We walked as far up as was allowed and turned back around. Our guide was always cheerful and regaled us with stories - overall still an enjoyable visit. Hopefully we can go up again next time.

Our guide Alejandro did a fabulous job giving us an overview of the history of the charming cities of Puebla and Cholula, and showing us important sites there. He was on time, easy to communicate with before the tour, and accommodated any requests we had to stop for food, water, or shopping. I highly recommend this tour!

The Butterfly Sanctuary excursion with Jose was the best experience I've ever had!! Riding the horses up the cool beautiful mountains was out of thus world!!! As we went up the mountains we began to see butterflys 🦋 it was a sight to behold! By the time we reached the Sanctuary, there were millions of butterflys in the trees, flying in the skies and just everywhere!!!!! Our guide was excellent, he spoke fluent English and he was very knowledgeable about the history of Mexico and the Butterfly migration!! Thank you Jose!!!! I will see you soon!! This was a life changing event!!!!

When the sky is clear and the weather good the landscape is wonderful at the Izta-Popo National Park.
Bringing back your trash from the mountain, it is something smart that you can do.

Eduardo was a great host on our tour. We left the hotel at 8:30 and got to the butterfly park pretty early. When we got there it wasn’t crowded. When we were leaving it just started to get crowded. Maybe aak the tour if you could go even a little earlier to miss the crowd completely. Eduardo spoke very well in English and Spanish and it came in handy when we wanted to hire the horses for the tour. The horses were the right way to go for us. The short hike was challenging mostly due to the change in altitude. I would suggest bringing a professional camera if you have one and enjoy photography. It’s very hard to get those closeup shots with a cellphone camera. Also bring cash, there are no atms and they won’t take credit cards.

It is true you can hop on and off whenever and wherever you want, what they don’t tell you is that when you hop off, you need to wait 2 hours for the next bus. Result? You will probably end up asking for an Uber to get back anyway.

I highly recommend taking a Segway tour with Greenway. They were incredibly professional. They called me about the weather and let me reschedule to a date it was not convenient. I was so happy that they told me that I could go on that day but that I would be uncomfortable because I had gotten cold. I was also able to get a refund for the friend that was an able to go on the rescheduled date. My Guide it was very informative. She was very safe and we made some great stops along with Reforma. She took a lovely pictures of me.

I had an incredible day riding to the Xinantécatl volcano with Moises. He was waiting at the shop with the bike ready to go when I arrived. The bike itself was a nearly new Versys 650 in perfect condition. He gave me all the gear I needed and even some spare mounts to mount my GoPro on the bike. He then gave me some tips on the route we were taking and riding in Mexico in general and we set off.

Following Moises on the bike was easy, fast enough to be challenging and fun but not so fast that I ever felt uncomfortable. I'm sure he could have gone a lot faster given his racing background!

The scenery around the countryside and the volcano was beautiful, as was the lake where we stopped for lunch in a floating restaurant. On the way back we hit some sudden, heavy rain but Moises was prepared and pulled over to put on rain gear right before the rain came down.

This tour is an essential experience for any biker travelling to Mexico City.

My guide picked me up early and off we went. He jumped the line and passed all the “shuttle buses” up to the top. Always concerned with how I was feeling (with high altitude) we hiked almost to the top. (Helmets are needed for the last part.). Very crowded at first but we soon left crowds behind. He dropped me off where I asked. Great guide!

The agency did not anticipate the crowd visiting the sanctuary. We waited more that 2 hours in the woods in a crowd of about 5000 visitors and after having heard that we had to wait at least another hour, we decided to leave the site without having seen the butterflies.
This visit is overpriced and the value for money is close to zero. I could have done the trip by myself for 10% of the price as the added value from the agency is inexistant

Our charming & informative tour guide & driver, Carlos, whisked us thru the airport chaos and our adventure began: Chocolate museum, Anthropology Museum (amazing), bikes in the park, pastries in Roma Norte barrio cafes (yum!), shops in Barrio Rosa, charming town square life in colorful Coyoacan (Frida Kahlo's barrio) & Lucha Libre (a masked wrestling spectacle not to be missed). Alex of Vibe booked us in perfect boutique hotels throughout - clean, quiet rooms w/ firm beds. Hotel staff was always helpful.

Left the city on our week-long adventure including:
ATVing thru sheep meadows around the Teotihuacan pyramids.
Wading thru gushing warm water cave springs in the Grutas Tolantongo.
Crazy street offerings (frog purses, bone figurines, strange hats), fun street food, & easy moods in the pueblas magicales.

In Zimapan (a puebla majical) we bought a cheap guitar, threw it in the back & played it throughout our trip.
Repelled down waterfalls, climbed thru the ambitious remnants of the surrealistic garden in Xilitla, and sang with a local musicians in the park.
We rafted cool, green rivers in Tampaon River with a group of 30 others (all Mexicans traveling from other parts) and lively & confident river guides. We climbed out of the river & Carlos, greeted us with cold pineapple & led us to a feast of spaghetti bolognese, pork wings & icy cucumber juice. Cute, flirty fellow travelers throughout. What a blast. Never saw other Americans.

6th day: deep in the Huasteca Potosin. By sundown we hiked to the rim of a famous enormous sinkhole (Sotano de Huahua) to see barrages of swirling swifts diving back to their underground cavern. Bought vanilla beans & drank passionfruit juice from the locals.

8th: Sipped smoothies in crystal-blue pools in the Tamasopo waterpark. Mexico knows how to do waterparks -- lush, sparkling & thoroughly surrounding a group of natural waterfalls. Wobbly rope bridges, swings off of trees, slides... Surprise: loved their calm Tilapia breeding pools.
Night in grass huts near Micos waterfalls. Excellent dinner buffet -- yapped with fellow travelers happy to share their incredible country -- again, all friendly & curious to meet Americans.
Micos had the longest zipline we'd ever been on, a skybike too -- zooming over pools & canyons.
After ice cream cones, went on a waterfall jumping tour was a blast -- 11 in all -- jump, wade, jump, wade... Last night on Tampico beach -- PERFECT ending to amazing, relaxing trip.
