We went today and took the metro from Zocalo Station. Cost was 8 p per person for the ride. It was an adventure, very busy, but then so is everything in CDMX. We chartered our own barge, 4 people for $1000 p for 45 min. Could have been up to 20 people for the same price. 45 min was plenty. It was fun but that was long enough. There were sellers of drinks and food on shore and on barges. Lots of shouting, Mariachis on barges. I’m glad we did it but won’t go again.

This park is all gravel and mulch trails, do runners will love it. We loved all the trees and shade! This garden has many Mexican Plum trees, so during flowering season, the scent is amazing! This is a favorite park of ours.

The parks and green spaces are abundant.
My advice for first time travelers to MXC. Dont get pesos at airport currency office, only bank ATMS.
Don’t keep nice luggage tags on luggage, use paper airline issued. Factor in the congested traffic when trying to get somewhere on time.
    Have a great time!

Within walking distance of the Hotel Carlota where we stayed, this awesome park is also dog friendly and has a small dog park for you to take your furry children. Not only is it a nice place to stretch your legs in this beautiful mega metropolis, but it is situated right next to an area used during the weekend as a full outdoor market with vendors and amazing food. If you’re traveling with dogs this place is a saving grace.

This place is just behind the cathedral. Lots of people hanging out and enjoying the view. It’s just upsetting that there are people playing loud music. Nice place to visit.

Beautiful little park that is tree-filled, full of people--fun to walk through. We visited the audiorama, which was a delight. Every city should have one of these!

This is a nice botanical garden and a pleasant place to spend some time. In a city with a few millions of people it is nice to be somewhere quieter with few people around.

A new-looking path from the Museo del Sitio y Centro de Visitantes, passing the Dirección del Bosque de Chapultepec (park headquarters), will get you quickly from the Chapultepec Metro station to this wonderful spot. It's tucked into a wooded nook, surrounded by speakers that play peaceful music, with benches that force you to lie back. A reading table has books to borrow. It's just a few minutes' walk from the history museum. Come relax and get used to being away from traffic, in a huge park!
